Izakaya Hachi Reviews
Absolutely love the food here. When I come visit my family in LA they take us here, and I've yet to have a dish I didn't like. We always get the fried gobo, the jidori wings are really tasty, the beef tataki is some of the best I've had in the area. I tried a couple different things today the toro taku and the pressed analog, both were delicious and definitely something I'd get again. I wasn't too crazy about the Japanese potato salad with mentaiko, I feel like it needs a but more mayo. The karaage is also very tasty, and we also had some kaki fry which was very good and the crab croquettes are some of my favorite things to get here.Overall this is one of my top places, sometimes inconsistent and service can lag a bit, but it's never been much an issue to affect my review.
Jan 22, 2025 · Bryan TakeuchiGreat food in a nice atmosphere. I think this restaurant is specifically good if you are willing to share multiple small plates and spend a bunch of money on tasty little bites. The chicken karage was my favorite.
Jan 18, 2025 · KianaThe restaurant is not large, with compact seating, and only accepts reservations, no walk-ins. The service is very warm and the quality of the dishes is very high. I really liked it. Many dishes were so good that we ordered another portion after finishing the first. Delicious!
Jun 10, 2024 · BINBIN GUPlease disable online ordering if you're not doing takeout. We spent a lot of time putting together an order only to have it cancelled within 5 minutes. When I called to ask about the cancellation, the person on the phone said "we're too busy for to-go" and did not apologize. As far as my dine-in experience, the food was okay. I wouldn’t say the service was rude but definitely not the friendliest.
May 10, 2025 · Ryan MontoyaMy friends and I had a wonderful time here. Our reservation was at 7:30 on a Sunday night, and we were sat right away. The food, drinks, and service was top notch! Must order the beef tongue! So on point! The only downside is that they close at 9:30. Kinda early for an izakaya, in my opinion.Sorry, there are no photos. We were too busy eating and chatting it up!
