Customer experiences at Moonrise Spirit & Sushi offer a varied perspective. One highly positive review highlights the excellent service and delicious food: "Martin was the BEST server that I have had in 5 years of living in El Paso, he was so quick and attentive to my husband and I!! Everything tasted and looked amazing." This glowing feedback underscores the restaurant's potential to deliver exceptional service and beautifully prepared, flavorful dishes. Such experiences are crucial for establishing a loyal local following.
However, another review provided a more challenging account, which is important for a balanced overview: "This place might close down soon. Went to eat with a group of friends, waitress didn't write down our order. seemed strange bc we were a party of 5 we all got more than a diff roll. I even made a comment how she had 'good memory' sure enough she forgot one of my friends order. we waited and waited and the girl seemed to go home bc we never saw her again. How weird is that??? The only man standing there never checked on us. we flagged him down told him were missing some orders brought it back within 2 min?? so strange, either way our bill was a bit high over 160 I believe. it was 5 rolls and two ramen and 4 drinks... I used to love this place. Man had no manners. I believe he's the owner. Never thanked us . Didn't say a single word. He seemed sad or mad or tired, I felt bad for him." This feedback points to potential inconsistencies in service, especially with larger groups, and highlights the importance of attentive staff and clear communication. Despite this, the reviewer noted, "I used to love this place," suggesting that positive experiences have been had in the past and that the issues might be isolated or related to specific staffing situations. Moonrise Spirit & Sushi strives to provide an elevated dining experience, combining quality food with a welcoming atmosphere.

April 06 · Alexa LoyaDo not recommend.Ordered Salmon roll and Rainbow roll. Both had tough rice, some of it crunchy like it was old. The rice did not taste like it was seasoned at all. The fish on top the Salmon appeared to be oddly cubed on top unlike any roll I’ve ever seen, even compared to the Rainbow roll, where it is clearly wrapped around the top of the roll. The flavors were terribly balanced in the Salmon roll. It tasted like eating a mouth full of cream cheese and tough/crunchy rice. The flavor and texture of the fish in both rolls were akin to convenience store sushi.Quality and price do not remotely equal out.Would never recommend this place.DO NOT RECOMMEND.
March 10 · Vivian GodwinThe gyozas (pork dumplings) were really good. The Philly roll didn't have the cream cheese inside but on top of the roll? and the rice didn't taste like it had rice vinegar and was really dry (I would hardly consider this authentic sushi). The ramen was the cheap noodles you get from the store and the veggies for it are a frozen veggie mix that isn't normally found in authentic ramen dishes.
June 11 · JanaMartín was the best server me and my wife have ever had we always say how servers in El Paso are so demanding and entitled but Martín was the complete opposite he made sure all drinks were always filled, rearranged out table for us based on where we were sitting, made sure multiple times everything was ok and that we had everything we needed and wasn’t overbearing looking at us eat and just was so quick attentive and aware of who he was serving.
