The central location on University Avenue also means it's easily reachable, contributing to its busy nature as a convenient dining option for those in the downtown area.

The accompanying soup is described as "warm and umami," and the salad as "light but sweet dressing," indicating attention to these complementary components. Araki Sushi Reviews
It's sushi. No major dish flavors or flavors in general. There is lots of sushi competition around the neighborhood, I personally would look elsewhere to find sushi that is a little higher quality. That have very efficient and fast take out of you are looking for something quick during the lunch hour.
Feb 21, 2025 · Steven WarrenOrdered the Dinner combo which consists of soup, salad, and two items of choice. I opted for Hamachi Avocado roll and Salmon Avocado roll. Also got a Baby Octapus Kara-ag appetizer. This is a good amount for one person, or split with two people with small appetites. The soup and salad were nice small portions to start with, warm and umami soup and light but sweet dressing on the salad. The Hamachi avocado roll was pretty decent and the Salmon avocado roll were very bite size portions, pretty good on flavor. The Baby Octapus Kara-ag was also really nice and chewy. Ultimately, a decent spot to satisfy a simple sushi craving. Place does get quite busy in the evenings so there may be a wait for seating. Service was pretty swift when we needed them. And general ambiance is very busy, chattering, and warm.
Dec 13, 2024 · Kevin ChenGot impressed by the food, but will not come back again. First of all, minimum service received, have to ask the server to come to take the order. Not once stopped by and ask how the food is or if we need anything else. By the time for check out, we gave 15% “fair” tip (should gave 0 instead) and the waitress said it was below the “18% minimum tip”?? For two person dining and the minimum service we got, 15% is very generous already. Very rude and unprofessional. Will not come back again.
Apr 08, 2025 · Shirley WLovely spot for a nice meal! Service is extremely fast and everything I have eaten here is very yummy and reasonably priced. No complaints whatsoever and highly recommended especially since the area is so lovely 💚
Apr 25, 2025 · Jillian BanegasThe sushi was decent—not the best I’ve had, but good enough for a casual meal. Unfortunately, the overall experience left a bad impression. I accidentally left my phone behind and returned shortly after to retrieve it. I asked the staff multiple times, and they insisted no phone had been turned in. After going in and out of the restaurant about three times, I finally called my phone from the front desk—and to my surprise, the ringer came from underneath their front desk.It made for a very awkward moment. The staff handed it over but claimed they didn’t know it was there, which didn’t sit right with me. Whether it was negligence or something else, the situation felt uncomfortable and left me uneasy. Because of this experience, I won’t be returning. It’s a shame, as the food had potential.
