Exceptional Freshness and Quality: A recurring theme in customer reviews is the emphasis on fresh, high-quality ingredients. Diners consistently praise the freshness of the fish, which is paramount for an enjoyable sushi experience. This commitment to quality ensures every roll and piece of sashimi is a delight.
Value-Oriented Pricing: In a city often criticized for its high prices, Ari Sushi stands out by offering a wonderful and filling meal, including alcohol and desserts, without "costing an arm and a leg." This affordability, especially for quality sushi, is a significant draw for both locals and visitors.
Quiet and Quaint Ambiance: Unlike many bustling Midtown establishments, Ari Sushi provides a "quaint and quiet" atmosphere. This makes it an ideal spot for those seeking a more relaxed and intimate dining experience, away from the typical Times Square crowds and noise.
Excellent and Attentive Service: The staff at Ari Sushi consistently receives high praise for their excellent service. Diners note the attentiveness and friendliness of the team, which significantly enhances the overall dining pleasure.
Diverse Menu for All Tastes: While specializing in sushi, Ari Sushi also offers options for those who may not prefer fish. Convenient Location: As mentioned, its easy walk from Times Square makes it incredibly accessible for anyone in the Midtown area, whether you're a tourist or a local.
While specific, ongoing promotions and special offers can vary, Ari Sushi focuses on providing consistent value to its customers, which in itself can be considered a significant ongoing benefit in a high-cost city like New York. Customers have frequently lauded the fact that they can enjoy a "wonderful and filling meal, as well as alcohol and desserts," without incurring exorbitant costs. This inherent value proposition often functions as their core "promotion" by providing high-quality sushi and Japanese fare at accessible price points. It's always a good practice to check their official website or inquire directly when making a reservation to see if any seasonal specials, lunch deals, or happy hour promotions are currently available. Given their positive customer feedback regarding pricing, it’s clear that Ari Sushi aims to offer competitive value as a standard part of their dining experience, rather than relying solely on temporary discounts.

Ari Sushi Reviews
We had a delightful lunch at Ari! Living in Upstate NY, we really miss having fresh, quality sushi—so this absolutely hit the spot. We kept it light since we were running around the city, but everything we ordered was fresh and satisfying: a California roll, spicy salmon roll, and hot sake. The atmosphere is quaint and quiet, and the service was excellent. Plus, it was an easy walk from Times Square. We’re already looking forward to coming back next time we’re in town!
May 30, 2025 · Elizabeth FitzgeraldThis place was great and the staff were awesome! I'm visiting NYC and have been floored at the prices everywhere. I wanted sushi for my birthday and I'm so glad we went here. The steak "not-sushi" (Negimaki) was a hit with my relative who doesn't like fish, and the sushi rolls were perfect. The fact that it didn't cost an arm and a leg to have a wonderful and filling meal, as well as alcohol and desserts, made it even better!
Oct 30, 2024 · ShelbyThis place is perfection! No fancy frills, just simple delicious beautifully prepared sushi. Service was flawless - simple, polite, and knowledgable. A few nice choices for alcohol too. Highly recommend the Triple Belly Roll!
Apr 14, 2025 · Joe CambareriThis is an awesome sushi place in NYC. The food was delicious, service was great, and the prices were incredible! The server was also knowledgeable about what I’d be able to have with my gluten allergy. I wouldn’t say it’s a place to go for the atmosphere as it’s pretty plain inside, but that doesn’t matter when everything else is so great!!! 100% recommend for fresh and delicious sushi for a totally fair price! We came here for my partner’s 30th birthday and were not disappointed :)
Nov 16, 2024 · Amy KornerTLDR: Sashmi wasn’t fresh, go to a different spot for sushiAtmosphere was fine, small but cozy. Not too packed when I got there. The service was also not bad but it didn’t get a higher rating because the server lied about the freshness and quality of their Otoro(tuna belly sashimi). I checked before ordering if the Otoro was fresh and they reassured me it was “the best and delivered that day” this is after I had asked what they special delivered fish of the day was and he said there are no specials, contrary to the menu.I ordered the Otoro sashimi and a spicy dinner roll set, spicy tuna, spicy salmon, and spicy yellowtail rolls. The sashimi came out slimy and disgusting the fish was even gray at the bottom. The dinner roll sushi was tasty and it came generously filled. I will say that getting such poor quality sashimi makes me question, if the other fish was bad quality with the taste covered up in the spicy sauce and rice.I even told the waiter I could not eat the sashimi as it tasted bad and there was no response just removing the plate. My friend tried the sashimi as well and he spit out into his napkin. After eating here for the first time yesterday, I would not recommend anyone eat here, especially with all the delicious sushi the city has to offer.
