Asahi Sushi Introduce
### Introduction / Overview
For sushi enthusiasts and Japanese cuisine lovers across New Jersey, especially those in Bergen County, finding a restaurant that offers both variety and value is often a top priority. Asahi Sushi, located in Norwood, presents itself as an appealing option, particularly known for its all-you-can-eat (AYCE) concept. This approach allows diners to explore a wide array of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese delicacies without the usual concerns about ordering too much or sticking to a limited budget per item. While the "all-you-can-eat" model can sometimes raise questions about authenticity and quality among purists, Asahi Sushi aims to strike a balance, offering a broad selection that caters to diverse palates. It's a place designed to draw a crowd, promising abundant fresh food and a lively dining atmosphere that appeals to families, groups of friends, and individuals looking for a comprehensive Japanese culinary experience.
Asahi Sushi embraces a style of Japanese dining that is often described as an "Americanized version," meaning it incorporates popular rolls with various sauces and toppings, alongside traditional offerings. This blend ensures there's something for everyone, from those who prefer simple, clean cuts of fish to those who enjoy more elaborate, creative rolls. The concept of "all you can eat" draws in those who value quantity alongside quality, allowing them to sample different items on the menu without limitation. For locals in Norwood and surrounding New Jersey towns, Asahi Sushi offers a convenient and accessible way to satisfy their Japanese food cravings, providing a satisfying meal at a set price.

Asahi Sushi Reviews
It’s an Americanized version of raw fish eatery, the Sashimi is noteworthy.👎👎👎 BUT the seafood called rolls CANNOT / MUST NEVER BE CALLED SUSHI, ESPECIALLY THE ONES DOUSED IN SAUCE.*** Sushi is clean simple cuts of fresh fish. And the rice would be Tamanishiki or Koshihikari premium varieties of short-grain rice. The amount of rice would be minimal and the FISH IS KING.*** Real Sushi Rolls are always wrapped in Nori, NO SAUCES.The place is an all-you-can-eat concept, which draws quite a crowd. There’s a menu sheet on which one ticks what one wants.👍 The one good thing about the menu is that there’s nothing of that horrid cheese so common in raw fish eateries in America.🫤🫤🫤 the tricky thing are rolls, several are doused in sauces… SO TO REALLY SAVOR THE FLAVOR OF FISH, INSIST ON NO SAUCE.👎👎👎 a common complaint seems to be the large amount of rice👎👎👎 the tempura has a thick batter🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 the WORST FAUX PAS IS THE SO-CALLED CRABMEAT, which is FAKE CRAB as is admitted by the serves.Sashimi is notable👏👏👏👏👏, regular cuts and quiet fresh. BUT choices are limited. All the rolls are the inside out, some more tasty than others. Some have thinner layer of rices (which should be) than others…Service is good. The price is right.
May 13, 2025 · A V (globetrotter)This was the worst sushi buffet I had... the eel was sour and dry, the fish is a weird color as you can see on the picture. IDK how people eat here I'm worried about food poisoning. the appetizers were weird as well.. green dumplings and literally udon with sauce and no soup 🤢🤢🤢 service and atmosphere good but food is no go

The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the meal. Even though the place was busy, we didn’t have to wait long for our food to come out, everything is reasonably priced too. Can’t wait to go back!
