Awi Sushi (Interquest) Reviews
We went for the Takoyaki. The Takoyaki was very strange to say the least, but at $6 for 5, it's hard to not try. The outside had internal folding, similar to that of a pan fried Takoyaki. However, the outside was not crispy and the inside had uneven doneness. After asking the server, we found out that it was microwaved on the line for final consumption. The flavor was very good, especially compared to the offerings of other restaurants on the front range. There appeared to be green onion and possibly garlic inside. That being said, the minimal amount of octopus was overcooked and chewy. On top of that, the product wasn't served with mayo, bonito, or proper sauce, and was instead served with a sushi sweet sauce. Overall, with the obvious inattention to production, as well as the very sub par texture both internally and externally, I rated this offering as a 3 or 4/10.Of course, we tried additional items, and, of course, the additional items were much better. We had two kinds of sushi and they were both pretty good and affordable. We didn't go with any raw fish sushi given the distance that Colorado is from the coast, but the rolls we did have seemed to be a good deal and tasted good.On the service side, this is obviously not a fine dining establishment. The servers did not seem to enjoy (or pretend to enjoy) their time there, and did not care if we enjoyed our time, but I think that they were high schoolers so it's understandable and to be expected .Overall, I will return for the reasonably priced sushi as a weekday date or similar.
Mar 03, 2025 · D CAs for sushi places it’s not my favorite. The service is good and the food decent but there are better sushi places out here for the price. But their service was fast and friendly.
Apr 09, 2025 · Alberto madrillLOVE the sushi here!! It is always fresh. So many options but yet made to order. Good size portions and we take some home. They are incredibly nice and we have made this a favorite place of ours. We come here regularly and have gotten to know the owners. Such a great find!!
May 15, 2025 · Zahra SoltaniSomeone at work said this new location had opened up. They also stated they had been to the location on Nevada and they were really good and inexpensive, which is a big deal for me because my kids can rack up a bill when it comes to sushi. So that following weekend, we tried the interquest location out. It wasn’t packed at all, we walked in and seated ourselves. They had a wide variety of rolls and were very decently priced (majority of rolls ranged from $10.99-11.99, some at $14.99-15.99). The food was delicious! Will definitely go back again.
Apr 27, 2024 · Haydee LutherThe sushi itself was cheap and tasted pretty okay for its price. We had five different rolls: butterfly, fantasy, arizona, lion king, and a california. They weren’t quite as savory as rolls I have had at other places, but you get what you pay for. It’s cheap here so don’t expect something that’ll really blow you away. Their selections outside of sushi are like five or six appetizers and miso soup. There’s no ramen, no udon, no plates, not much besides sushi. They do have mochi ice cream though. They also don’t even have HOT tea, which I find extremely off-putting for a Japanese restaurant.Speaking of cheap, the ambience of the place shows how new it is. You can tell they have some work to do on the decor and atmosphere but that comes with starting any small business. All in all it’s not the worst, with the exception of the service. The service was disappointing. Our server hardly even glanced at our table and we had to physically call out and wave to him just to get his attention. Some training on situational awareness and checking on your tables is needed.
