The menu includes a variety of choices such as steak (including high-quality Wagyu), chicken, seafood (shrimp, scallops, lobster), and vegetables.
Full Menu Offerings: Guests can choose from a range of traditional Japanese dishes. This includes appetizers like edamame, gyoza, and tempura, along with their famous Benihana onion soup and salad with ginger dressing.
Sushi and Sashimi: Beyond hibachi, Benihana also offers a selection of fresh sushi and sashimi prepared by a talented sushi chef. This includes classic rolls, nigiri, and sashimi, providing an alternative for those craving traditional Japanese raw fish preparations.

Benihana's appeal lies in its unique combination of culinary skill and entertainment, making it a popular choice for many in Georgia. Key highlights include:
Interactive Teppanyaki Show: This is arguably the biggest draw. Guests are captivated by the chefs' dazzling knife skills, comedic timing, and impressive cooking techniques, turning a meal into an unforgettable performance. Creating shapes out of rice, as mentioned by one customer with the Aries sign, is a common and delightful element of the show.
High-Quality Ingredients: Customers frequently praise the quality of the food, particularly the meats. The "wagyu steak was so buttery soft and delicious," as noted by a reviewer, highlights their commitment to premium ingredients.
Delicious Food: Beyond the show, the food itself is consistently described as "delicious." The perfectly grilled steak, shrimp, and fried rice are staples that keep guests coming back.
Friendly and Talented Staff: The servers and chefs receive high commendation for their professionalism, friendliness, and exceptional talent. The "dynamic duo" of server Nae and Chef Malaki exemplifies the positive interactions guests experience.
Celebration Destination: Benihana is a popular spot for special occasions, especially birthdays. The festive atmosphere and interactive nature of the dining experience make it an ideal choice for celebrations.
Consistent Brand Experience: Being a well-established chain, Benihana offers a consistent and recognizable experience, ensuring that guests know what to expect in terms of quality and entertainment.
However, it's also worth noting some areas mentioned in customer feedback:
Potential for Wait Times: Despite reservations, there can sometimes be delays in seating, which can impact guests' plans. As one customer noted, a 3:00 PM reservation that wasn't served until 3:45 PM "really cut into our night." This suggests that while reservations are recommended, flexibility might be needed during peak times.
Management Communication: In cases of delays, some customers have wished for more proactive communication or "softening the situation from management."
Benihana is well-known for offering various promotions and special programs that add value to the dining experience. For local users in Georgia, these can include:
Happy Hour: Benihana typically offers a "Happy Hour" menu, available Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM in the sushi bar and lounge area. This often includes special pricing on a selection of appetizers and beverages, such as $3, $6, $9, $12, and even $35 options. Examples of happy hour food items might include vegetable spring rolls, spicy salmon or tuna rolls, gyoza dumplings, chili shrimp rolls, crispy rice, and Tokyo wings. Drink specials often feature beer and signature cocktails.
The Chef's Table Loyalty Program: By signing up for "The Chef's Table" loyalty program, members receive news, special offers, and a complimentary $30 Benihana Birthday Certificate during their birthday month. This certificate is redeemable during dinner hours, Monday through Thursday, after an initial $30 purchase.
Kabuki Kids® Program: For children aged 12 and younger, the "Kabuki Kids®" program offers a special email certificate for their birthday, entitling them to a free souvenir mug with the purchase of any Kabuki Kids® meal.
Seasonal Specials and Limited-Time Menus: Benihana frequently introduces seasonal menus or limited-time offers, such as their "Wagyu of the World" menu which includes six-course meals featuring premium Wagyu cuts, or seasonal drink offerings like "Flavors in Full Bloom."
"Taste of Benihana" Offer: This ongoing promotion allows guests to enjoy a five-course meal at a special price (e.g., $39 per person), typically available in the bar and lounge area for dine-in only. It includes popular items like fried rice, hibachi steak or chicken, Benihana soup and salad, and homemade dipping sauces.
Family Meals for Takeout/Delivery: Exclusively for takeout and delivery, Benihana offers family meal packages designed to serve 2, 4, or 6 people, providing a convenient way to enjoy their food at home.

Benihana Reviews
Server and chef were great. The wagyu steak was so buttery soft and delicious. 3pm reservation and wasn't served until 3:45 really cut into our night without any kind of softening the situation from management. Should be more respect for reservations because plans are made around them for folks with busy schedules.
Mar 20, 2025 · Sasha AudreyCame here to celebrate my birthday🎂 ! Had the BESTEST experience ever!! Nae our server was Awesome and the Chef Malaki was Exceptional! He created the Aries ♈️ sign out of rice, the food was delicious! Will most definitely be back and will request the Dynamic Duo!!!
Apr 07, 2025 · Tanya JohnsonJust a guess that if Benihana franchises, this would be one I assume. Service was very disappointing for the name and the price! They had ONE server who serviced 4 different tables and she did her best but it’s impossible to provide service at a high level. No need to return anytime soon. There are plenty of options for a more reasonable price.
May 02, 2025 · Shon HI’ve been to this location 3-4x over the last 5 years, typically coming to use the birthday reward ($30 off). Always come expecting a long wait, at peak times. This most recent time I did a the out order. It still probably took 20 minutes to place the order. But they only had 1 lady who was doing all to-go. I didn’t mind waiting as I could tell she was working very hard - packing food and taking orders. In the past, I’d say the biggest downside is the long wait. Last time I was here for dinner, we had 7pm reservations but wasn’t seated until close to 8:45p (yet often being told “it’ll be soon.”) then of course once you’re seated, it takes awhile to get everyone’s order and then wait on the chef to come to table, so we ended up not eating until about 9:30pm. When you come for 7pm reservations and don’t get the food until 9:30p, it’s pretty disappointing. Either they need to work on how many reservations they accept or become more efficient. The food is good, but the show / atmosphere of the dinner theatre hibachi is the star. On my most recent visit (Jan 2025), prices sure have increased. Lunch portion hibachi $35 and dinner $45.I’d come during non peak hours to try to about long waits.
Feb 01, 2025 · Shannon EMy experience of this place was one of the worst experiences of my life. I am 52 years old and I never had an experience like this. I’m from Crown Point Indiana and I came to Atlanta for my son’s 16th birthday. I called a week in advance with a 17 person reservation. The lady I spoke to assured me that having a large party would be no problem. She said they were able to accommodate me. When I arrived it was about 30 people in the parking lot standing around, some dancing and some making it difficult to park. I was scared to get out but I prayed. When I told the ladies at the desk that I had arrived the said that I had one table before me and I would be seated in about 15-20 minutes Well I didn’t get seated until over.3 hours later. My reservation was for 8:15pm. I was seated at 11. I was so embarrassed but thankful that my family stayed there to support my son. My son was soooo embarrassed for me and said the food was nasty. He ordered chicken and sai the rice was salty and they never gave any of us noodles that came with the dinner. I asked to speak to the manager and I saw him walking around looking confused himself. All he could do is say I will see what I can do. Well he took a couple dollars off but it wasn’t enough. We still spent about $700. After the disastrous evening we should have eaten for free. My family are still talking about this horrible experience. It really makes Atlanta look really bad. I will NEVER come back a recommend that the close this horrible place down. It even look bad inside. I am calling corporate because I really want my money back. Again this was the WORSE experience of my and my son ( the birthday boy) life. They couldn’t even make a 6. It was backwards. Lord help!
