The features of Brothers Ramen's menu focus primarily on authentic Japanese ramen, complemented by a selection of appetizers and other Asian-inspired dishes.
Ramen Varieties: As the name suggests, ramen is a core feature. While one review mentioned disappointment with the "Kaisen ramen" in terms of flavor, another positively highlighted the "Tonkotsu Ramen" as "actually pretty tasty." This suggests variation in the quality of different ramen bowls. The Tonkotsu Ramen was praised for its "nice Al Dente" thick noodles and "nice and tender and nicely flavored" Chashu (pork belly). Traditional ramen bowls typically feature a rich broth, various toppings, and perfectly cooked noodles.
Appetizers: The menu includes popular Japanese appetizers. "Chicken Karaage" (Japanese fried chicken) is a notable item, though one reviewer found its taste "bit funny," suggesting a different marinade than what they were used to. "Takoyaki" (octopus balls) and "pork buns" are also offered. While one review found the pork in the buns "thinnest piece I have ever seen" and the soy sauce "very overpowering," these items still represent a common part of Japanese appetizer selections. Other appetizers commonly found on their online menu include spring rolls, gyoza, and edamame.
Curry Dishes: The menu also features Japanese-style curry, such as "Chicken Curry." One review noted the curry sauce was "very thin and watery" and the chicken was "basically the karaage they use for the appetizer," which was not ideal for a chicken cutlet style curry. This highlights a need for consistency in certain dish preparations.
Noodle Texture: The mention of "thick kind" noodles for the Tonkotsu Ramen, cooked "perfectly (nice Al Dente)," indicates attention to noodle quality and cooking technique, even if it deviates from thinner, straight noodles often used in Japan.
Aji Tamago: The seasoned egg (Aji Tamago) in the ramen was noted for being "nicely done," even if it didn't have "too much flavor." This detail shows an effort to include traditional ramen components.
Customer reviews for Brothers Ramen present a mixed, yet informative, perspective on the dining experience. One detailed review expressed significant disappointment, particularly with the food. The "chicken curry" was criticized for being "very thin and watery," and the chicken itself was simply karaage. The "pork buns" had an "overpowering" soy sauce and "thinnest" pork. The "Kaisen ramen" was also disliked by the reviewer's husband, who is typically "more forgiving." This review noted long wait times, with other tables seated after them being served and leaving before their food arrived, suggesting issues with order management. However, this same reviewer did appreciate the "vibe of the restaurant" and praised the waitress, leading to a two-star rating.
In contrast, another review, by someone who seemed more familiar with traditional Japanese flavors, offered a more balanced perspective. While finding the "Chicken Karaage" to taste "bit funny" due to its marinade, they found the "Tonkotsu Ramen" to be "actually pretty tasty." This reviewer appreciated the "thick kind" of noodles being cooked "perfectly (nice Al Dente)" and the "nice and tender and nicely flavored" Chashu. Although the Aji Tamago lacked strong flavor, it was "nicely done." This reviewer concluded that they would "definitely come back again" if they were nearby, indicating a positive overall impression despite some minor criticisms. The contrasting reviews highlight that while some dishes or experiences may fall short for certain palates or expectations, other aspects, particularly the Tonkotsu Ramen and the restaurant's ambiance, hold significant appeal.
Regarding promotional information, Brothers Ramen primarily promotes itself through its modern and appealing "vibe of the restaurant" and its specialization in ramen. The "upscale appeal" noted by customers implicitly acts as a promotional draw, suggesting a more refined dining experience. The restaurant's presence on major food delivery platforms (Uber Eats, DoorDash, Grubhub) is a key promotional strategy, increasing its visibility and accessibility to potential customers. While specific deals or time-limited offers are not detailed in the provided information, the restaurant's commitment to creating an inviting atmosphere and serving authentic ramen forms the core of its promotional message. The mixed reviews, particularly the positive comments about the Tonkotsu Ramen and the ambiance, indicate that word-of-mouth and online visibility will play a crucial role in attracting and retaining customers in the competitive Murfreesboro dining scene.

Brothers Ramen Reviews
First time trying Brothers Ramen and not sure if it will be my last. Met my brother in laws friends here because they highly recommend it. They told us it was one of their favorite spots in the Boro so of course I came in with high expectations.I will say I love the vibe of the restaurant. The interior is decorated very nicely and gives a more upscale appeal. We were also seated right away even though our full party wasn’t present, which was nice. They only had a couple other customers for it being a Saturday afternoon.Service was good. Our waitress came around to check in on us a couple times before the remaining part of our party arrived. She was also good with refilling our drinks and making sure we good during our visit.Unfortunately something happened with their oven while they were preparing our ramen so we had quite a bit of a wait. I’m also not sure why we were served after the table to our left and right were, even though they all came in after us. Both tables ended up finishing their meals and leaving before we even got our food. So I’m not sure how they do their tickets for orders. Wasn’t really happy with that. The food was the biggest disappointment. Very lacking in flavor. I ordered the chicken curry and pork buns. My husband got the Kaisen ramen and Takoyaki. He said he didn’t like it, which is surprising because he’s more forgiving when it comes to food compared to me. The pork in my pork buns was the thinnest piece I have ever seen and the soy sauce was very overpowering. The curry I had in my dish was very thin and watery. The chicken was basically the karaage they use for the appetizer, not actually chicken cutlet like I’m used to.Part of me was thinking maybe it was because I didn’t order ramen at a ramen spot but the fact that my husband and my sister both didn’t really like their ramen tells me I might have been disappointed anyways. It’s unfortunate but I guess we will still be on the hunt for a good ramen spot in the Boro. I’m rating two stars because my husband and I both liked the vibe of the restaurant and our waitress was good. But other than that they were a bit lacking with the food and service as far as who got served first.
Dec 23, 2024 · Darien D.I happened to drive by the area during lunchtime while I was on a business and decided to stop by.I ordered Chicken Karaage and Tonkotsu Ramen.Karaage tasted bit funny. Maybe the way they marinated it before they deep fried it. Just not the way I make it.Tonkotsu Ramen was actually pretty tasty. The noodles were think kind - normally in Japan people use thin straight noodles but this is not Japan, I suppose - but they were cooked perfectly (nice Al Dente). Chashu was nice and tender and nicely flavored. Aji Tamago didn’t have too much flavor either and was nicely done.If I were near by again, I’ll definitely come back again.
Nov 09, 2024 · Tokyo Blues ManWe had a short wait, they were very busy. Then after sitting down we were greeted immediately. We had multiple servers helping and making sure we got everything we needed. They even gave us a free appetizer for a wait, which I thought was awesome customer service. We have three children so they love anything extra! The food was amazing. We all tried something different and everyone left very full, happy and with leftovers.
Dec 30, 2023 · Jessica Criswell BreiningThis restaurant was absolutely amazing. the staff were extremely nice and attentive. and very knowledgeable about their food they serve. Not to mention the restaurant itself is immaculate. the table were all clean and organized and the bathrooms were sparkly clean. the atmosphere is extremely relaxing and very calm. Definitely a step up from your traditional busy and loud restaurant. i couldn’t recommend this place enough. Not to mention the food was delicious with fairly good sized portions. The menu is not extremely extensive with 50 plus dishes. they kept it simple with a dozen or so select dishes that are all delicious. this place was amazing will definitely come back when i’m in the area
