Plus miso and pickles.Matcha Tiramisu ($5.95): Pretty presentation, airy sponge, light and creamy texture, subtle grassy taste.Value: Outstanding for volume and flavor.Service: Very friendly.Atmosphere: No frills coziness. Three-four tables and three counter stools, plus the grab-and-go table to the right of the door. Very popular too; items sold out rapidly, both on the table and the limited negitoro bowl.

I was a little skeptical, I thought a bowl of tempura with rice would be really dry and just the basic shrimp tempura taste, but it was actually SO good! It is a little pricey, especially because it may seem like a lot of money just for tempura lol, but it was really filling and actually so flavorful - every component in the dish was fantastic. A great experience, and I’m hoping to go back to try the negitoro!

The restaurant is in two parts: Onigiri to-go and Tempura dine-in.We had a 35 minute wait, so we opted to try Onigiri first. They are each absolutely beautiful little pieces of art. My favorites were the Chicken Omurice (odd the heart is like ketchup, not curry, but still loves it), the eel, the spam, and the chashu pork. I hear lunch has a different selection?!?We then shared the deluxe platter, as I'm obsessed with eel. Their tempura batter is so extremely light and then and crispy. I'll admit it did feel like the tempura (including the fillings) were very light and mild in flavor.So while it was a very fun experience, I may only come back to try some different onigiri.

I liked the unagi and salmon ones best, and I'm also a fan of the egg one. The shiso leaf makes everything so fragrant and fresh. Rice is perfect and the size of the rice ball is filling. So good!
