ETARU restaurant Reviews
Etaru in Hallandale Beach is a nice spot if you’re looking to eat right on the sand with a beach view. The rooftop setup adds a cool touch, and we happened to go on a full moon night, which definitely made the atmosphere feel a bit more special. The restaurant is clean and modern, and overall, a pleasant place to sit and have a meal. The food was better than expected, especially considering the mixed reviews online. Everything came out pretty quickly. Their version of a California roll was actually really good, and the kani salad was fresh and loaded with crab not just filler.Service was decent but felt a little unorganized. We ordered two red wines, one white, and one beer, and they brought out two whites, one red, and the wrong beer. When dessert came, it was served with no spoons until we pointed it out.Overall, I’d go back, but I’m not rushing to. It’s worth checking out for the location and decent food, but not something I’d consider a must do.
May 12 · Melina RamirezI recently visited this restaurant for lunch based on a recommendation, and while the location boasts undeniably stunning views, the overall experience left much to be desired.Service was a significant drawback—staff appeared overwhelmed, with only one server attending to multiple tables. This resulted in inattentive and sluggish service, lacking the attentiveness one would expect at a venue of this price point. The food was average. While the oysters had a pleasant flavor, they were disappointingly small. Portion sizes overall were modest and did not justify the premium pricing. The grilled octopus, in particular, lacked the refinement and flavor depth expected of such a signature dish.In short, aside from the scenic backdrop, the experience did not meet expectations. The combination of underwhelming service, small portions, and high prices makes it unlikely that I would return or recommend it.
April 23 · Alish TLoVeI celebrated my anniversary at Etaru and really enjoyed my experience. It was quiet with beautiful scenery and classy atmosphere. The food was good but what really stood out was the professionalism and attentiveness from Thaddeus. He was not our server but checked on us repeatedly to ensure that everything was going well. I truly appreciate his customer service and hope that he is recognized for being an exemplary employee.
April 02 · Carla “Vegan” NelsonOnly got the BBQ chicken pizza and it unfortunately didn't pass the flop test but definitely had some good flavor. Atmosphere was very nice right on the beach.Service was great. We picked our seats bc we wanted to see the beach and ocean while we eat but we were right in the sun. Another table finish after we sat down and the waitress asked us if we'd like to take their table which was out of the sun but could still see the beach and ocean. Classy thoughtful service.
March 07 · Anthony CavelliAte here for dinner on a beautiful Thursday evening in February. I sat down at the bar first as the restaurant wasn't seating tables yet. I was dining alone. I asked for a table along the edge overlooking the ocean which they accommodated. It was an amazing setting!!I ordered the skirt steak which came out a perfect med-rare with a Chimichurri sauce. Also came with fries. The fries were good but nothing real special. The steak was excellent. Dinner and 2 drinks was $78 which included the automatic 20% tip.Only reason I gave 4 stars for service was because when I called earlier I the day to make reservations I was told they don't do reservations for one. It worked out fine for me, but if it would have been a busier night the reservation would have been appreciated.
