Gyu-Kaku is celebrated for its high-quality ingredients, from juicy marbled beef like Prime Kalbi Short Rib to flavorful Harami Skirt Steak. Beyond the delicious food, the atmosphere is designed to inspire "laughter, conversation, and amazing times," making it a perfect spot for various occasions, be it a lively gathering with friends, a family meal, or a memorable date night. Customers consistently praise the prompt and attentive service from a "great staff" who ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience, even during busy periods. Many discover Gyu-Kaku through fantastic promotions like their DineLA lunch specials and highly reasonable happy hour prices, leaving them eager to return for more of the "best BBQ" they've had.

Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ Reviews
Would have never known about this place if it wasn’t for DineLA! Did their lunch special and I’m so happy I did. I chose the meat option C which was beef and spicy pork. The portion size was perfect for lunch and I even took a bit leftover for dinner. The service was prompt and they even had my favorite plum wine at a very reasonable $7 HH price. Absolutely would come back! Thanks to the great staff as well!

Delicious !!! Meats were so flavorful and fresh, crunchy gyozas, the bibimbap rices were so tasty and the Korean soup was nice and spicy.
May 12, 2025 · Regina NohelaniFantastic BBQ with great value for money. This is more of a Korean-Japanese style, specially given they serve kimchi-jjigae with edamame on the side. The staffs are super friendly and nice.Parking is not very convenient. They have 1,000cc draft beer from Kirin Ichiban, which is super satisfying. They have separate kids menu.Highly recommend it, but make a reservation. The place get packed up.
Jul 17, 2024 · Gio LeeOne star. Avoid if you’re from out of state.I came here with a valid Washington state ID (which I had just used to board a plane and rent a car), only to be told that the restaurant “couldn’t verify it” because their ID scanning machine wasn’t charged. After waiting for it to charge, they then claimed their machine couldn’t validate our IDs at all and refused to serve us drinks—despite us being well over 21.What’s worse, the staff initially said that “California law requires ID verification by machine,” which is completely false. When pressed, they backtracked and admitted it was just their policy. They essentially held onto our IDs, wasted our time, and gave us inaccurate information about state law.If this is your policy, fine—but own it. Don’t lie and blame the state of California. This was condescending, poorly handled, and made our group feel unwelcome for no good reason. Plenty of better places in LA that don’t treat out-of-state guests like criminals for having valid ID.
