Christmas Eve is a happy holiday! But unfortunately, the chef was not happy because we asked for less salt. Then the distribution of ingredients became unfair! Do you have a distribution standard? I have never seen such a restaurant! A chef can add or reduce food at will!!!
Dec 26, 2024 · lucyThis is the first bad review I have ever written in my entire life. I have ordered 3 times in the past via Uber Eats or Delivery. It has never once come all correctly. Not a single time. I figured I would try one last time (I really like their steak so no hate on the cooks there- this is about the supervisor I spoke to tonight). I have not once called to complain or do anything with the prior mess ups. I figured I would take a proactive approach and called after I placed my order. I explained I was calling because they had never gotten the order right before so I wanted to bed that they take extra care to get it all correct. I gave a specific example of one of the times when they forgot the sauces I had requested in the order. The order finally came and… they had forgotten the sauces. I called in and was frustrated because I had specifically called earlier to say I was worried it wouldn’t be right and it still wasn’t right. They put me on with a manager or owner who said “well you have a choice and I hope you come again”. I said “is that all? Seriously? You’re not going to do anything to make this right?” He literally started mocking me. Thought it was ridiculous I suggested a gift certificate and said “it’s just sauces! We don’t even charge for those that’s how nice we are!” And he yelled at me and laughed before hanging up. Yeah it is just sauces. But after knowing this is the 4th time (and definitely last) that they had gotten my order wrong in some way, and that that today was the first time I had called- once to ask them to really double check and please get it right and once to call back to ask them to make it right because it was unacceptable that it still wasn’t right, they literally mocked me because it was “just sauces”.

The food was delicious, the staff was attentive and personal, and our chef, Mario, was so funny and did an excellent job with our meal! What a neat little surprise hiding right off of Drake and Horsetooth. We're definitely coming back!

I went with some other people and they've been to a better Hibachi restaurant but they said this one is still good. Things are a bit expensive, however. It doesn't appear they clean the outer rim of the stove but before they cook they do clean the stovetop. One of our plates had a chipped corner as well. They also do go light on the ice unless asked not to. It does appear that they aren't too popular, I heard one of the employees say that they had customers in a "stop messing around people we've got to seem like a good restaurant" kind of way. The staff is nice and the chef is wonderful. There are some pretty big fires they have so if you're somebody who has Pyrophobia I wouldn't recommend it. If this is your first time having Hibachi I would recommend but if you've been to some extremely fancy Hibachi restaurants wouldn't recommend anything but a good budget option. They also use quite a bit of teriyaki sauce.

Almost thought he was gonna cook for us too... probably would have changed our experience.Our "chef" started out like any other hibachi chef. Fun and charismatic. The dancing utensils and egg tricks for the kids. Threw in an onion volcano...pretty standard. The only thing that wasn't over or undercooked was the scallops, but even those had too much sauce and were very salty. The veggies were undercooked and probably should have been put under a steam lid at the beginning. The rolls we ordered to go with our meal were luke warm when delivered and not very appealing. It was almost like midwestern mom decided to take up hibachi and was just giving it a try. The focus was definitely on the tricks and gimmicks rather than the food itself. Super disappointing cause I really wanted to like this place!$200+ for 3 adults and 2 kids for middle of the road Asian cuisine. Expensive lesson I suppose.
