Hibachi Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar Reviews
After placing our order with the waitress, the chef at the table completely disregarded our request for no vegetables in the rice. He gave 3 orders of rice with no vegetables to the other end of the table. We informed the waitress who stated they would make it in the back. When the chef realized he made a mistake, his response was "oh well too late" and said we should have told him our order instead. It was rude and unnecessary. He could have just apologized for the mix up. My wife's entire order had to be made in the back. He shuffled food between plates as if he didn't know what he was doing, which is how my plate ended up with 4/5 pieces of steak. He said he had to get more steak for my order as well as vegetables for another guest because he didn't get her order right either. I asked for well done. The 1st time he made it correctly, but when he got more steak, he tried to rush to cook it. It ended up being medium well. By the time my entire order was completed it was cold. However, despite his rude demeanor, our waitress was amazing. Everyone at the table wanted to just tip her instead of him bc he was all over the place. It was a mess.
March 02 · Nik DevBooked reservations for New Years Eve for 5:30 pm (fireworks started at 6pm) we weren’t seated till 6:30pm. Late seating wasn’t a major issue since we could still have the kids watch the fireworks from the bar area.Once seated at our own fault realized it was a set menu at $50 a guest.Having a shellfish allergy and all options for appetizers having shellfish (being fired in same oil) and entrees besides chicken being shellfish… left me paying $50 for chicken, salad, ice cream. My husband ordered the Japanese egg rolls which were burnt and his fried rice was burnt with charred flakes from the grill. The manger came over and offered a free beer. Happy new year I guess.A set menu during a busy night ensures quality and they definitely fell short in that department… fire burnt rice and burnt egg rolls. Management disputing saying “yes that looks fine enough to eat”Honestly if wanting to watch the fireworks inside just go to the bar and order order drinks
January 01 · MargariteCame here 2 times so far & I will definitely be back. My first time I came with a group of sisters from my church. We had a good server & a good chef. We got a bunch of things. Shrimp and chicken and steak and salmon teriyaki. The extras are a bit expensive. It’s like $12 for a side of shrimp. $10 for extra rice. & like $10 for extra chicken. We came on a Sunday so we were able to get the special & paid like $20 for our meals not including the extras. The second time I came on a Saturday with a friend. We came as soon as the opened so we were able to get the early bird special that I believe ends at 6:15. We ordered a lot of items. Salmon, scallops, shrimp, chicken, steak. We also order honey teriyaki wings which were sooooo good! It comes with 6 wing dings for maybe $12. Each time we got fried rice, veggies & a salad. They charge $3 extra for just broccoli. I recommend just picking the onions & zucchini out & eating just the broccoli instead of paying extra. They charge gratuity. Idk what percentage it is, but it doesn’t matter the party size, they charge it.
January 26 · Tanayshia RonePlace is EXTREMELY overpriced. Trust the negative reviews before you come here. I had the exact same experience. You’re paying over $35 a plate for a view and that’s it. The costs in person were higher than online. The PARKING was also $30, which is absolutely outrageous.I’m the kind of person who would’ve dealt with all this if the food is good. WRONG.The food was bland, burnt, and unappetizing. You don’t get soup. They overcooked our steak (asked for rare) to damn near rubber. Scallops were chewy, burnt and inedible (see photo-so dark!) The portions of rice were small. Don’t expect to have many leftovers, unlike other hibachi restaurants. There was no show with it either. The chef was inexperienced, dropped egg shells in our food several times (and spent time fishing them out of the eggs) and barely spoke to us. I saw him accidentally drop food into the waste/discard hole and fish it back out twice. No volcano, no squirt in the mouth. Again, I would’ve accepted it if the food was good, i’m not picky, but it wasn’t.The biggest pros was that the server was kind and kept my drink refilled without me asking, and was receptive to our complaints. The sushi was yummy, though also overpriced. The view was gorgeous, and the interior decor was lovely as well.
December 29 · Nyazia Sajdah-BeyThe Not So Favorable Review Is Not About The Food. It’s About The Atmosphere & Cleanliness Of The Restaurant. First Off I Came There When They Had Just Opened & The Bathrooms Were Filthy. How?! As Far As The Decor… Nonexistent. This Is A Japanese Restaurant Where’s The Culture? They Just Have These Sloppy Couch’s Sitting There That I Refused To Sit. Now As Far As The Food I Can Say That I Was Quite Pleased With The Taste Of The Food. The Chef Claimed To Be New. He Did A Great Job. Made My Steak To My Liking ( Medium). He Was Kind, Courteous, Respectful. The Server Lady Was Also Kind & Helpful. So They’re Not Really Lacking In Those Departments. They Need Redecorating & More Attention To Cleaning Detail. They’re At A Great Location, But The Look Is So Underwhelming.
