Hokkaido Ramen Santouka Harvard Square Reviews
I really enjoyed my time here. It felt a bit like I was back in Japan with the way staff interacted and greeted everyone upon coming in. The decoration was very similar to a Japanese ramen shop. My husband got their signature Toru Niki ramen and I got their limited time Black Garlic Shop Ramen. Both were delicious! The broths were rich and flavorful with a variety of toppings. The pork cheek in the signature ramen was especially yummy and full of umami. We both got combo orders to get the most of it. The gyoza and karaage were just as good as the ramen. The karaage was crispy and with a drizzle of lemon, it was perfect when you needed a break from ramen.
Apr 19, 2025 · Laura Alpuche MonegroHokkaido Ramen Santouka is a chain of Ramen restaurants, offering multiple different combos and styles of ramen in their restaurants across the Boston area. The service is good, they consistently check in on you, however sometimes it does get hectic due to the space being somewhat cramped, but it doesn't detract from the food quality. The food is good. The broth has a distinct flavor that isn't too overwhelming, but also goes well with the ramen. I typically get the spicy Kara Miso, which comes with decent toppings, though a bit on the expensive side for the portion. They have combo meals that come with things such as a rice side or aji-tama, which goes well with the soup as well.Overall, a pleasant experience to try and to satisfy any ramen cravings whenever you are in Boston.
Jan 12, 2025 · Nick SPerfect ramen place to go to while you’re visiting Harvard! The service is amazing and the food comes out fast. The bathrooms are a little dirty though.
Apr 17, 2025 · olivia cOne of the vegetarian/vegan friendly dining spots near Harvard University that’s not serving sandwiches or wraps. If you're looking for warm soup in winter, this is the place to go.I bumped into this lovely place to have my late lunch before leaving Boston. The kid’s meal set can be customized to vegetarian ramen, in which the broth is miso-based. They have vegetarian ramen set as well, it’s adult’s portion, the broth is soy-based. I’d say both vegetarian ramen options taste decent compared to some ramen places that don’t even have vegetarian options. The Ajitama(boiled egg)is creamy and delicious. But the fries were not good, they were soft and soggy. I’d recommend edamame instead of the fries, it’s a safer choice. The service was good, they understood my request regarding the vegetarian diet and double check with the kitchen, also clarified the soup based with me! Love it!
Dec 23, 2024 · Yoyo YIt's a great place. Good atmosphere and nice service. Miso Tofu Ramen was amazing however, the ramen didn't have enough veggies and had a very thin slice of tofu when I paid $18 for one bowl.
