Hotaru Sushi & Hibachi Reviews
Went in during lunch on Saturday there was 3 tables total and one sever do service too a lol bit at first but The tuna tower was fresh and delicious, also had the filet mignon habachi, was really good, and a mojito can’t remember the flavor but it’s the pink drink the server was also being the bartender she made my drink really tasty!
May 28, 2025 · BOur dinner was good. This was our first time to Hotaru and we needed a little guidance about the hibachi menu. While our waitress, Naomi was very nice, she didn't provide much guidance and walked off during our drink order and only came back when I called to her. We were looking for not just good food but an experience. The spring rolls were delicious. We ordered the shrimp and scallop hibachi with fried rice. The shrimp was overcooked. We also ordered pad thai. It was good. It was a dish that 2 could share. We were really interested in learning about the different types of sake but didn't get a chance. We will be back to give it another chance. We want to try some sushi and try sake.
Nov 02, 2024 · Paige LosoyaI was here with my parents and my toddler who’s super active. We were in SA to visit family from Dallas. There’s a lot of Japanese restaurants in Dallas too, but this by far is definitely one of our favorites. My toddler had the kids fillet mignon and to my surprise, he loved it. He’s usually a picky eater, but the fillets were very tender and flavorful, but not too salty. I think it also helped that the atmosphere was kid friendly. The server engaged with him and entertained him a bit while we looked at the menu. Which was super nice and helpful. I had the house salad and the chicken fried rice; it was great! My parents had sushi. My dad had sashimi and he thought it was quite fresh. There was something about the sushi rice that we really liked and the Salmon in particular was quite fresh. I know the price point is a bit on the higher end, but it was worth the treat considering the quality. Not to mention the clean bathroom, it was reassuring that the food was clean too. I always like to assessed cleanliness of a restaurant by their bathrooms, so it was pass.
Mar 20, 2025 · Elizabeth LianExpensive! We love sushi and came in here to enjoy some fresh fish but ended up with the spicy chicken due to the cost, $20 for a single roll is Nobu pricing. The spicy chicken was pure heat, not flavorful heat. We did decide to add an order of salmon sushi since I couldn’t eat my meal and that was excellent. The seats were comfortable and the atmosphere was nice but it was uncomfortably cold. The restroom was nice and clean.
Mar 08, 2024 · Amanda MWe first arrived with a reservation that was not honored. They had one waiter to service the entire dining room. The waiter poured drinks all over the table behind us. Our food was served cold, hard chicken, no teriyaki sauce as requested, the waiter brings us the sauce but not before pouring it all over my clothes, this was a dark sticky sauce that made my pants brittle and of course ruined the night to go anywhere else but home. I ordered shrimp which they did not write down or bring with the meal. For a fine dining they service you drinks in a can. The name has Hibachi in it but do not expect real hibachi as there are no tables or shows. For a table of 5 we were told for our troubles we did not charge you gratuities, I laughed of course because I'm not the person to not leave a good tip even though the service was horrible. I spoke with the "owner" who was falling out of her blouse and all she said was so sorry thank you. I would not recommend this place nor would I ever return. For them to be in a such upscale neighborhood you should not serve drinks in a can or have that kind of service.
