Imasa Nori Sushi Izakaya Reviews
This has to be one of my favorite place. The sushi dishes are unique and perfectly crafted. In fact, I had the best California roll here! My friends tried the fish sushi’s and were in love! Their small plates are incredible also! The prices are affordable, in fact, I was surprised to find these prices in today’s day and age when everybody has increased their prices. The servers were friendly and attentive. The ambiance was casual yet the low lighting provokes a sense of romance.
May 01 · Sammi ChanThis is a nice and pleasant Japanese restaurant in Midtown with friendly service. We started with uni sushi since they said the uni was fresh today—and it really was.The fried oysters were perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Very satisfying.I chose the spicy tuna roll with the sushi set. While the sushi was good, the roll was especially delicious. The sashimi set was beautifully presented and exceeded expectations in both taste and quality.A great Japanese dining option in Manhattan at a reasonable price—highly recommended.
May 24 · Eui Sun ChungImasa Nori might just be our new go-to sushi spot in Midtown. The restaurant is fairly new and been open for about a year. It’s a total hidden gem and clearly the secret’s getting out because it was packed when we went on a weeknight! We’re big on presentation, and Imasa Nori nailed it. I mean, how often do you see your sushi served on a literal staircase? It’s that extra touch that makes the whole experience even more memorable.Everything we tried was super fresh and full of flavor. The Phoenix Roll was a standout it had crispy shrimp tempura topped with sweet king crab, tobiko, tempura flakes, and a little wasabi mayo for the perfect kick. The Pink Valentine (shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, avocado wrapped in soy paper) was so light and dreamy, it definitely lived up to the name. And the Emperor Roll was rich, creamy, and packed with flavor the blackened tuna on top was chef’s kiss. You have to order their mochi ice cream on the menu- it was the perfect sweet ending to our dinner.
April 19 · Crystal BenavidesIt was a decent place overall. I really enjoyed all three appetizers, but the entree, which was the beef yaki noodles, didn’t quite match up to the rest of our selections. While the noodles themselves were fantastic, the sauce that accompanied the veggies and beef fell a bit flat in terms of flavor. As for the service, it was decent but could definitely use some improvement.
December 21 · Le CoucouImasa Nori Sushi Izakaya is hands down one of the best sushi spots I’ve been to. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was incredibly tranquil, setting the perfect mood for a great dining experience. The staff was beyond attentive and friendly, making sure everything was perfect throughout the meal.Every sushi roll I tried was absolutely delicious, packed with fresh flavors that made each bite enjoyable. The seaweed salad was also fantastic, and the calamari was flavorful and well-cooked. My only small complaint is that the portions for both the seaweed salad and calamari could be a little more generous for the price. That being said, the overall experience was amazing, and I’ll definitely be coming back often. If you’re a sushi lover looking for great food, a relaxing ambiance, and top-notch service, this is the place to go!
