IPPUDO Culver City Reviews
Spontaneously stopped by IPPUDO. I’ve tried it for the first time in NY and it left a great impression. This time I’ve ordered just a classic Ramen which is their basic and cheapest Ramen option. If you want an egg in your Ramen you need to order additionally. There were also to condiments on the table. Wait time was short and the Ramen were really good. Rich broth, yummy noodles, just delicious. Wish the portion would have been a bit bigger but maybe it was just my appetite. Our waiter was also really friendly and attentive. Will come back :)
April 21 · Richard WehmeyerPros: The atmosphere is nice and the ramen came quickly. There is a good selection of vegetarian options. They have sesame on the tables as seasoning.Medium: Every little extra costs, but it's clear on the menu, which I appreciated. Tastes good.Dislikes: the soup was warm but ALL the toppings were cold, like they have a pot of warm broth and then add cold tofu or meat (the person I was dining with got pork which was cold), cold veg, etc.I asked for an egg in mine and my dining companion did not. they put the egg in his soup and when I pointed out they left the egg out of mine, the waitress wanted me to take the egg out of my friend's meat soup and eat it!!! Ewwwww!!! What the hell. Just fix your mistake. The ordering was very clear. Also I ordered the seasoned egg addition, but it was just a plain hardboiled egg that came. 4 stars for service- 1 star for the initial waitress but 5 stars for the woman who brought water and asked if everything was okay. Another con: the menu is online only, with a qr code to access it no physical menus. What if you didn't bring your phone, don't have bars, or don't have battery left? I asked for a physical menu but was just pointed to the qr code X2. Finally, it was VERY loud. The acoustics are such that my friend and I could not hear each other across the table over the noise of the tables around us.For such an expensive place, I won't be back.
May 25 · Cigal ShahamI had such an amazing time dining here! The Ramen was so delicious, the broth was incredibly rich, and the noodles were cooked to perfection. I have to highlight how amazing the staff was during my visit. Gavin and Yoshi were incredibly diligent in serving us, they both clearly work extremely hard to make sure we have a good experience. Please show them some love!
May 04 · Emily VuongFirst week open. Give them some space. Food was delicious. They didn't have the wine we ordered and they mixed up our order at the table. It's cool. Place had a line. They should invest in patio heaters.
April 19 · justinCulver City local and was very excited to have an ippudo but very lackluster. Pretty much identical to the prior pizza place, white walls, and does not match the brand style. The cucumber appetizer lacked salt and was very bland and the ramen dishes was predominantly oil and salt (which if that’s the ippudo style I don’t remember). Hopefully I can upgrade this during their hard launch but I’d recommend, painting the walls black, adding some tiling, having one/two color bowls, and tightening up the food.
