Izakaya Supa Banana Introduce
For discerning diners in Redmond, Washington, seeking an elevated Japanese culinary experience, Izakaya Supa Banana emerges as a compelling destination. Located at 17620 NE 69th Ct suite 120, this establishment offers a refined approach to traditional and contemporary Japanese dishes, appealing to those who prioritize quality and unique flavors. While the platform category "Doctor Near Me" typically pertains to healthcare services, its essence lies in connecting users with immediate, local solutions to their needs. In this broader interpretation, Izakaya Supa Banana can be seen as a "Doctor Near Me" for culinary cravings, providing a premium remedy for those seeking an exceptional dining experience in their vicinity.
The environment of Izakaya Supa Banana is distinctly modern and clean, creating an aesthetic that some might describe as almost institutional in its sleekness. This contemporary design choice provides a sophisticated backdrop for the culinary artistry on display. While perhaps not the traditional cozy izakaya decor, the emphasis on cleanliness and a streamlined look contributes to a sense of order and high standards. The minimalist approach allows the food to take center stage, a testament to the restaurant's confidence in its offerings. Despite its elegant appearance, the restaurant has been observed to be quiet during weekday lunch hours, often with only one or two parties present. This provides a more intimate and serene dining atmosphere for those who prefer a less bustling setting, allowing for focused enjoyment of the food and conversation.
The culinary offerings at Izakaya Supa Banana are consistently described as outstanding and excellent, with emphasis placed on the superior quality and preparation of the food. The sashimi, a true test of a Japanese restaurant's prowess, is noted as "top-notch" with "beautiful preparation," indicating a commitment to both freshness and artistic presentation. The overall flavor profile of the dishes is highlighted as "super tasty," promising a memorable gastronomic journey. While the prices are acknowledged as being on the higher side, making it a "very, very expensive" option for some, the quality of the ingredients and the expertise in execution seem to justify the cost for many patrons. It's often viewed as a place for a "special treat" or an occasion rather than a daily dining spot, reflecting its premium positioning in the market.
Specific dishes that have garnered high praise include the wagyu gyoza, priced at $15 for 6 pieces. This offering is lauded for being "super flavorful" and offering a "better value" compared to some other items, making it a highly recommended appetizer. Another standout is the cereal mentaiko salmon nigiri, at $13 for 2 pieces, which is described as one of the more affordable nigiri options and "seriously amazing." These specific examples demonstrate the restaurant's ability to create innovative and delicious dishes that leave a lasting impression. The menu seems to balance traditional favorites with unique creations, catering to a sophisticated palate.
Service at Izakaya Supa Banana contributes significantly to the overall positive experience. Servers are described as "really friendly" and willing to "take the time to explain the portion sizes and answer any questions." This level of attentiveness is crucial, especially given the premium pricing and potentially smaller portion sizes, ensuring that diners are well-informed and comfortable with their choices. The energetic and fun vibe of the staff, likened to someone who might take improv classes, adds a pleasant and engaging dimension to the service, creating a welcoming and enjoyable interaction for guests. This personalized approach to customer service enhances the perceived value of the dining experience.
From a promotional standpoint, Izakaya Supa Banana leverages several strategies to attract and retain customers, even with its higher price point. A notable incentive is the "10% off for signing up for their rewards program," which provides a direct financial benefit to new and returning patrons, encouraging loyalty. This program serves as a smart way to build a consistent customer base. The unique beverage offerings, such as the calpico matcha soda boba for $11, while a "bit pricey," are noted for their "generous amount of pearls" and distinctive flavor, acting as an appealing specialty item. The positive customer reviews, with an average rating of 4.25/5, are powerful testimonials that inherently promote the restaurant's quality. While the restaurant has faced challenges with consistent foot traffic during weekdays, particularly at lunch, hope is expressed that future developments like the opening of the light rail will bring more visibility and patronage, increasing its accessibility to a wider audience. The quality of the food itself, particularly the "excellent" sashimi and the "super tasty" dishes, serves as the most potent form of promotion, driving repeat visits and strong word-of-mouth recommendations. The restaurant's contact information, phone (425) 472-6748 and mobile phone +1 425-472-6748, are readily available for reservations or inquiries. Ultimately, for those in the Redmond area seeking a truly outstanding Japanese meal, Izakaya Supa Banana, despite its premium cost, promises a culinary experience that justifies the investment, making it a top-tier "Doctor Near Me" solution for exquisite dining.

Izakaya Supa Banana Reviews
Outstanding food, but very, very expensive. There was only 1 other party in the restaurant during lunch on Tuesday, and I suspect the thought of spending $40 for lunch is a turn off.The restaurant has a very modern, clean look - almost institutional. Not exactly my choice for decor, but I didn't go there for the looks. That said, the food is excellent. The sashimi was top-notch, and the preparation was beautiful. The food was super tasty! I'll be back, but only as a special treat.
May 28 · Sonar Tech4.25/5I've been wanting to try Izakaya Supa Banana for a couple of months now. Every time I walked by on a weekday, it was either completely empty or had only one table, so I felt a bit bad — hopefully more people will come once the light rail opens! The food was absolutely delicious but a bit on the pricey side for the portion sizes. Thankfully, our server was really friendly and took the time to explain the portion sizes and answer any questions we had. The wagyu gyoza ($15 for 6 pieces) was a better value and super flavorful. We also tried the cereal mentaiko salmon nigiri ($13 for 2 pieces), which was one of the more affordable nigiri options and was seriously amazing.I also ordered the calpico matcha soda boba ($11) — a bit pricey for what it was, but they gave a generous amount of pearls. Our server had a fun, energetic vibe (like someone who might take improv classes). The 10% off for signing up for their rewards program was a nice bonus too. Overall, I hope more people discover this place — it definitely deserves more traffic!
April 28 · Crystal YWe’ve been back multiple times, this place is yummy! This place serves super fun and modern sushi, intending to be a blend between Eastern and Western tastes. There are many very interesting dishes and flavors here, ones that you likely would not be able to get anywhere else. Some hit harder than others, but almost all of them are very unique. Recommend checking out all of their modern sushi, Gyu don, karaage, katsu donIt’s rarely crowded here, and there are still some kinks they are figuring out as they opened recently. I’m hoping they succeed as they have such a unique concept. Note that they can be a little pricey so be prepared, but it feels well worth it - we generally comfortably eat just over $100 here for a party of 2.Highly recommend giving them a visit!!
April 02 · Linda QinThis long weekend, we set out to explore a new spot in town—and what a discovery it was! The moment we walked through the doors, we were transported straight to Japan, where tradition meets sleek, modern design. The ambiance struck the perfect balance between serene and stylish. Our server was incredibly thoughtful and friendly, making us feel right at home. They patiently answered all our questions—even the curious ones from the kids—with genuine warmth and knowledge. Now, the food: absolutely phenomenal. Each dish was a celebration of fresh, high-quality ingredients, beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The sushi was a standout—elegant, vibrant, and mouthwateringly good. One detail that really stood out was the restaurant’s community spirit. On every table, there were QR codes where guests can donate to local causes—including a nearby elementary school, the humane society, and the local Japanese society. It was heartwarming to see a business so connected to its community. And don’t leave without trying one of their refreshing bobas—they pair perfectly with a sushi platter. Whether you’re planning a cozy date night or a family outing, this place delivers on all fronts.Treat yourself—and support a place that truly gives back
May 29 · Chayanika DasI usually don't leave comments unless a place is either impressively great or unbearably bad. Unfortunately, this was the latter.First, parking is a nightmare. The nearest public lot is hidden and closes in the evening, so if you're driving here for dinner, don't even bother. The restaurant itself is poorly decorated — there's no ceiling, the furniture is basic, and there are no decorations at all. It honestly feels like sitting inside an IKEA showroom. Normally, I wouldn't mind a minimal setup, but given the prices, it feels ridiculous. The menu is way overpriced, and the portion sizes are tiny. When we visited for lunch, there was only one server, so everything took forever. It took 10 minutes just to order drinks and another 25 minutes before we could order food. (At least the food came out pretty quickly afterward.)The raw fish was fresh and good, but everything cooked was extremely heavy and greasy. The cod and wagyu were so oily they almost made me throw up — not even exaggerating. For what you're paying, you could get much better food elsewhere. Honestly, Seattle has way better Japanese restaurants than this. The photo shows the size of their "mini don" for reference.I would not visit again.
