This attention to aesthetics elevates the dining experience beyond mere consumption, transforming it into a feast for the eyes as well as the palate. For sushi fanatics, Kamei Sushi is hailed as a top-tier destination, with one reviewer confidently stating it was "perfect" and even superior to other well-known local sushi establishments. This speaks volumes about the freshness, quality, and skill involved in preparing their sushi offerings. Beyond sushi, the diversity of their menu, exemplified by the popular bento boxes, caters to a wide range of preferences, ensuring that there's something to satisfy every craving. The generous portion sizes also receive positive mentions, with customers often finding themselves "stuffed by the end of it," indicating excellent value for money.
When it comes to promotional information and value, Kamei Sushi consistently receives high marks for its pricing. Customers appreciate the "great prices" offered, especially when considered alongside the exceptional quality and generous portions. The strong endorsement from repeat customers, who express their intention to "definitely be back," serves as compelling evidence of the restaurant's ability to deliver a consistently positive experience that encourages loyalty. The emphasis on supporting local businesses is also a subtle promotional element, encouraging community members to patronize this well-regarded establishment.
One minor piece of feedback, though perhaps a matter of personal preference, mentioned the "spa music could be switched out." This suggests a slight area for potential refinement, but it does not detract from the overwhelming positive sentiment regarding the food, service, and atmosphere. This minor note actually reinforces the objective nature of the feedback, showcasing that even minor details are observed by their discerning clientele.
In summary, Kamei Sushi stands out as a top-tier Japanese restaurant in Tacoma, WA. Its unique blend of a relaxing and inviting environment, coupled with fast, attentive, and friendly service, sets it apart. The restaurant's commitment to aesthetic presentation, high-quality ingredients, and delicious food, including expertly prepared sushi and satisfying bento boxes, offers an unparalleled dining experience. Kamei Sushi Reviews
Oh my goodness - I’m so glad I found this place! I had driven by it a few times in the past year and kept forgetting to go check it out. Today, while looking for a place to eat with my husband I remembered and we went around 12 PM.I love the atmosphere - It doesn’t have that cold/clinical feeling like a lot of restaurants that open in the area. It felt unexpectedly relaxing. When the food came, I just could not believe the presentation. I think post Covid we are all used to paying more for less, including when it comes to customer service and aesthetics. I ordered a bento box and it came so pretty, I almost didn’t want to eat it.I was stuffed by the end of it and my husband was really happy with what he ordered as well.Miso soup was delicious - side of rice and hot tea was included. We will definitely be back!!
April 11 · Eboni AllenGREAT place, sushi fanatic here and it was perfect. Better than Trappers, stop by and support they also have great prices. Fast service, great customer service and all the above. Thanks for the meal.P.S the spa music could be switched out though lol
April 08 · Manuel Becerra EscuderoThe food is surprisingly wonderful! My husband and I live in another state but whenever we're in WA our first stop is here. The best Bento of all. Not to mention the excellent service. Thank you
April 30 · Cristiely MattA hidden gem. Take the time to stop and support a local business. It is family operated they have been around PNW for plus years. Old restaurant was in west Seattle and were forced out due to west Seattle boom. Don't be scared of current location once you walk inside you will feel like you are part of the family. My food was very well priced and quality of service and food was served very quickly. I also had sashimi unfortunately pics I forgot to take. Help support an amazing small business tell your friends and family to stop by and let there hospitality speak for itself.Cheers
March 01 · Paul AshworthWonderful Experience!! This place is a super clean and cozy family owned restaurant. The customer service was great and the food was even better. The presentation of each dish makes me feel like this family takes pride in the food they serve as well as the quality. Highly recommend.
