Kansai Reviews
We had a waitress in training who was nice and still learning. The food was the best Asian food I have ever had and I have no idea why the reviews aren't better. The egg rolls were cut in half which made it amazing because of the texture. The bulgogi tacos were delicious and the sauces topped on everything enhanced the taste. The sushi was even better than it looked and the salads were a beautiful array of vegetables. The chicken could have been a little less done but that is only critique. I would come back here weekly and tell friends and family about it.
May 25, 2025 · Nathan GreenReally disappointing, barely edible. The attached image shows the $30 of sushi I ordered. The left roll is supposed to be a baked Special Eel Roll ($17), which is described as, "Spicy tuna roll topped with whole piece freshwater eel, eel sauce and tobiko". I expected there to be a whole piece of eel on top, instead I got whatever this is...not baked and barely any eel present at all. The right is supposed to be a Rainbow Row ($13), which maybe it was at one point before someone apparently dropped it facedown and scooped it into the to-go container. The avocado, was mush and seems to be rotten. Completely inedible. I picked off some of the fish but ended up just throwing most of it away. I can't believe that someone thought serving this was acceptable. I don't believe they would have served this garbage to a dine-in customer, but since it was just take-away, then I guess they just didn't care. Will not be returning here.
May 21, 2025 · Mark WallaceI wanted to really like it here but unfortunately the food was a bust.We came in for my birthday and the atmosphere was great. Bathrooms were poorly kept up with though. My boys didn’t even want to use the men’s restroom because there was urine everywhere on the seats and the women’s restroom has clothes thrown over the stall doors like someone lived there. The service was great and they were helpful and polite. The sushi rolls tasted fresh so I’m very happy I ordered those since the main meal was not great. We ordered three chicken habachi meals, most of which were not eaten. The chicken was beyond dry you needed water to digest every piece. I asked for fried rice but was given white rice and told only after they brought the food that fried rice wasn’t an option but I’m not sure why they didn’t say that when I ordered and asked for it. The veggies were undercooked and cold on all three plates. They were helpful and had rice made as well as fresh batch of vegetables but even though those were at least warm this time, the crunch was so noticeable it felt like the broccoli was tossed in from the stock. My husbands meal tasted great he said so that was a plus.Overall it was over $100 worth of food (no alcohol) that mostly wasn’t edible so I unfortunately wouldn’t recommend unless going to only eat sushi.
Apr 17, 2025 · Gennie BaileyOpening week....wait staff is learning but did a great job. Food was so delicious. Sat at the bar watching the sushi being made....the owner Luis was very friendly and let us sample a few items. Very friendly and will go back again for sure.
Jan 11, 2025 · Bill GagnonWe LOVED the sushi and watching them make it at the sushi bar. My favorite was the Godzilla roll! I can't wait to go back and order it again. The Killer Shrimp roll was also amazing. The shrimp tasted really fresh and delicious. We also had a Philadelphia Roll and an Eel and Avocado Roll. Both were great. I'm so glad we found this place. We watched the staff interact with each other and they seemed so polite and helpful to their team. Dinner at Kansai was the perfect way to celebrate Friday and kick off the weekend!
