It is described as fresh, well-prepared, and beautifully presented, indicating a clear dedication to the core elements of good sushi. The chefs at KAS evidently prioritize the quality of their ingredients, especially the fish, which forms the backbone of any excellent sushi offering. Specialty rolls also receive high marks, suggesting creativity and a thoughtful approach to their menu beyond classic offerings. One reviewer specifically lauded the "spicy tuna" roll, noting its "nice kick of spice" and a "hint of yuzu or something citrusy mixed in," which adds a layer of complexity and freshness. The "Godzilla roll" also garnered positive feedback, reinforcing the idea that both traditional and more innovative options are executed well. The emphasis on the "perfect ratio of rice to fish" further underscores the attention to detail in their preparation, a crucial aspect for any discerning sushi lover. This commitment to quality makes KAS a reliable choice when your internal "Doctor Near Me" is prescribing a sushi cure.
### Pricing and Value: Fair for Quality
In terms of pricing, KAS offers a fair value for the portion size and the quality of the food. It’s not positioned as an overly expensive establishment, nor is it a budget sushi spot. This suggests a middle-ground pricing strategy that aims to provide decent value for the quality of the ingredients and preparation. While one reviewer noted that the price might be "kinda steep compared to going somewhere like fob sushi bar where you could get more and have variety," they quickly qualified this by emphasizing that "the quality and cleanliness makes up for it!" This sentiment is crucial: what you pay for at KAS is the assurance of fresh, high-quality sushi in a clean environment. For those who prioritize quality and freshness over sheer quantity or extreme budget-friendliness, KAS offers a compelling proposition. It’s an investment in a satisfying and wholesome meal, much like choosing a reputable "Doctor Near Me" for your health needs.
### Promotional Information and Special Offers
While specific ongoing promotions are not detailed in the provided customer reviews, one reviewer mentioned coming in for a "lunch and got the roll special which came with a classic roll, specialty roll and a side of miso soup." This indicates that KAS does offer special deals, particularly during lunch hours, which can provide excellent value. Lunch specials featuring combinations of rolls and sides are a common and highly appreciated offering in sushi restaurants, making it an attractive option for those looking for a complete and satisfying midday meal at a potentially reduced price. It is advisable for prospective diners to inquire directly with the restaurant about their current specials, whether by calling them at (206) 900-7987 or +1 206-900-7987, or by checking their online presence, if available. KAS Reviews
I recently visited Kas in Seattle, and overall, it was a mixed experience. The sushi itself was definitely the standout—fresh, well-prepared, and nicely presented. You can tell they put thought into the quality of the fish, and some of the specialty rolls were quite enjoyable. If you’re mainly there for the sushi, you’ll likely walk away satisfied. However, the rest of the restaurant felt pretty average. The interior design is basic, and the atmosphere doesn’t quite match the quality of the food. It felt more like a casual neighborhood spot than a place you’d go for a memorable dining experience. Service was fine, but not especially attentive or friendly—just enough to get by.In terms of pricing, I’d say it was fair for the portion size and quality. It’s not overly expensive, but it’s also not a budget sushi spot. You’re getting decent value for what you pay.Kas is a solid option if you’re looking for good sushi without the need for a trendy or upscale setting. It’s not somewhere I’d go out of my way to visit again, but I wouldn’t mind stopping in if I were nearby and in the mood for sushi.
Apr 22, 2025 · C SCame in for lunch and got the roll special which came with a classic roll, specialty roll and a side of miso soup. I ordered the spicy tuna and godzilla rolls. I wasn’t expecting much but both rolls were pretty good! The spicy tuna had a nice kick of spice and it tasted like there was a hint of yuzu or something citrusy mixed in. They were also filled with the perfect ratio of rice to fish.I will say the price is kinda steep compared to going somewhere like fob sushi bar where you could get more and have variety, but definitely the quality and cleanliness makes up for it!
May 21, 2025 · Tran LeWent to Seattle for a conference and this was the closest to Seattle convention center. The service was a bit slow and had to actually stand up and go to the register to pay because I needed to leave quick and they were not giving me the check. But the atmosphere is pretty chill and comfy.
Apr 27, 2025 · Alejandra CorreaOk so if you are more into vibe than how the food tastes this place might not float you. I had the Kas Bento. It was 24.95 for a ton of sushi. Ahi, salmon, hamachi, served as nigiri, sashimi, and poke. One of the tuna sashimi was seared. California rolls were yummy. Sashimi slices were about half an inch thick. No cap. Seaweed salad too. Spouse got a yummy shrimp burrito (16.95). Also great. Fish quality very high. If you care about accessibility, my mobility scooter was welcome and nbd. I am. A fan.
