Kazan's reputation is built on its commitment to fresh ingredients, expertly prepared dishes, and truly "next level" service. While their sushi rolls are known for being "extremely unique and bursting with flavor," the culinary adventure extends far beyond. One customer's mesmerizing description of their "Okonomiyaki (kimchee pancakes)" — a dish that "almost looked like it was dancing" — speaks to the innovative and delightful offerings available. It's a place where every dish is a highlight, ensuring that you "can’t go wrong" with any selection.
Kazan is conveniently located at 2809 24th St, San Francisco, CA 94110, USA. This prime address places it squarely within the vibrant and culturally rich Mission District, one of San Francisco's most dynamic neighborhoods. The Mission is renowned for its eclectic mix of murals, lively atmosphere, diverse culinary scene, and unique local businesses, making Kazan a perfect fit for its surroundings.
The restaurant's location on 24th Street offers excellent accessibility for both local residents and visitors exploring this popular part of San Francisco. While street parking can be a common challenge in dense urban areas like the Mission, visitors often find spots on side streets, though allowing extra time is always advisable. The vibrant street life and walkability of the neighborhood add to the appeal of visiting Kazan, allowing diners to immerse themselves in the local culture before and after their meal. Its accessible location contributes significantly to its status as a beloved "hidden gem" for many in the Bay Area.

Based on the available public information and customer reviews, Kazan Japanese Restaurant offers its value through its consistently high quality, diverse menu, and reasonable pricing rather than overt "promotions" or "special offers" in the traditional sense of discounts or coupons. However, their menu structure does include items that act as inherent value propositions or unique offerings:
- "Japon Tapas" Selection: The extensive range of small plates, or "Japon Tapas," allows diners to sample a wider variety of dishes without committing to a full entree. This format itself can be seen as a promotional feature, encouraging exploration of their unique offerings like the Okonomiyaki and Fried Chicken Skewers.
- Signature and Unique Rolls: Rolls like the "Three Some," "Last Samurai (XXL)," and the "Kazan Roll" are essentially house specials that highlight creative combinations and are often a draw for repeat customers. These unique creations act as their own special offerings.
- Diverse Menu for Value: Offering a wide range of options from sushi and sashimi to ramen, udon, and donburi means that various price points and meal types are available, allowing customers to find something that fits their budget and craving. The "fantastic value for the price" is a recurring theme in reviews.
- Omakase Nigiri: For those seeking a chef's choice experience, Kazan offers an "Omakase Nigiri" (15 Pieces of chef's choice-fresh catch of the day) and a "Nigiri Sampler" (8 Pieces of chef's choice), which are a form of special curated offering for discerning palates.
- Sashimi Deluxe: A generous platter of 25 pieces of catch of the day, including kama, provides a comprehensive and impressive sashimi experience.
While specific limited-time percentage discounts were not found, the overall positive sentiment regarding value suggests that the quality and experience provided for the price are the main "special offer" at Kazan. For the most current information on any daily specials or seasonal menu additions, it's always best to check their website or inquire directly when visiting.

Kazan Reviews
This place is wonderful! Service was impeccable. Everything came quickly and exactly as we asked for. The atmosphere was quaint and comfortable - made you want to sink back and enjoy the experience of eating here.My daughter and I had rolls - they were definitely straight from the kitchen and high quality, fresh ingredients. But the highlight was the Okonomiyaki (kimchee pancakes) my girlfriend ordered. I couldn’t take my eyes off of this dish - it almost looked like it was dancing:) so beyond mesmerizing - and a dish she absolutely loved. I can’t explain and give it justice - you’ll just have to try it!! If you like kimchee, try this unique dish! But honestly, you can’t go wrong - everything we ordered was high quality, authentic and delicious!
August 29 · Sheri MazariegosKazan is a hidden gem that deserves to be packed with lines out the door. I couldn't believe I was able to just stroll in, pick my seat, and enjoy such an amazing meal. Their rolls are extremely unique and bursting with flavor. The service? Next level. I loved the miso soup and house salad—they really nailed the accompaniments. Fantastic value for the price too! Oh, and the fried chicken skewers? Absolutely banging. I’ll definitely be back!
September 27 · Sean YuanEnjoyed a wonderful meal! Loved the wakame, the pride roll, and the green tea ice cream (large scoop!). Also got a roll I think was called the last samurai- it was too big and the filling was too rich for my liking (but the menu did say XXL, so I was warned). Good quality house sake.Walls are painted black so it’s a very dim, ambient space.Overall great experience.
December 10 · August BomanHighly recommend getting hot wings, fried squid tentacles, ikura.Do not recommend getting oysters. Fresh, but overwhelmed with sauce.
April 22 · T MThe salmon and tuna were standouts here. All the fried dishes (spicy popcorn chicken, the mushroom fries, and the katsu with chicken) were pretty mediocre. Heavy, not good meat. The menu was confusing, we wanted chicken katsu but misread and got a chicken egg over rice dish instead. Luckily, the staff was accommodating of our mistake and swapped out the dish.
