While Kiitsu, as a premium sushi establishment in Los Angeles, doesn't appear to rely on conventional "promotions" in the form of discounted rates or happy hour specials, its unique offerings and overall value proposition act as its own form of enticement for local Californians. The restaurant excels in providing a range of pricing options within its menu, allowing diners to "try things like the wagyu" if they choose to "treat yourself," or opt for "standard rolls" that are still described as "excellent." This inherent flexibility in its menu allows patrons to curate their own "special offer" based on their desired indulgence and budget for the evening.
Moreover, the existence of coveted, off-menu items such as the "wagyu uni caviar nigiri" which one customer "would never have known if I hadn't heard from the table next to me," serves as an exclusive, experiential "promotion." Discovering such secret delights, facilitated by an attentive staff and an interactive sushi chef at the bar, adds an element of insider knowledge and excitement that elevates the dining experience beyond a mere transaction. Kiitsu Reviews
One of my favorite sushi places in LA. Clean, comfortable, and delicious. They were very accommodating to my gluten intolerances and I had no issues. This isn’t my first time here and definitely won’t be my last.
Apr 26, 2025 · Victoria TrujilloHidden gem that rivals, dare I say it, Nobu! Not too many quality sushi restaurants in the area, yes I am quite picky with my raw fish, more so than other types of food, so was pleasantly surprised when I happened to come here (it's a little hard to find which is why I say "hidden gem") while I was walking through the plaza behind it to pick up some stuff from Goop. The menu offers variety in pricing. If you're ready to let your tastebuds dance and treat yourself, you can try things like the wagyu (I could eat 3 plates of this myself if my wallet let me) but if you're in the mood for standard rolls, they will be excellent too.Service is always friendly and prompt. The sushi chef behind the bar is catering and will work with you if you sit at the bar to make an amazing experience for you. Or sit at a table to order whatever you want if you already know. The table next to us had a restaurant regular and he ordered a wagyu uni caviar nigiri. I decided to treat my table to this and ordered a few and WOW. Can't quite describe this- but the flavors and texture are unforgettable. It's not on the menu and I would never have known if I hadn't heard from the table next to me so I'm not sure if they always have it but it was at this time I started calling the restaurant a hidden gem. Our favorite dessert was the strawberry mochi ice cream thing. I’m not sure anyone would not like this! Such a crowd pleaser. Nothing is overly salty or overly sweet here. If a sushi restaurant is, I find myself wondering what they’re masking. Everything is super fresh as it should be when it comes to raw fish.Have returned regularly since then.
Nov 28, 2023 · Esther OhThe space is quite small and not very busy, yet we waited over 20 minutes for the first dish to arrive. The sashimi was fresh, but the cooked dishes were just average in taste. Service was disappointing — the servers seemed inattentive. We had to ask for wasabi and soy sauce after sitting for 40 minutes, and they ended up taking soy sauce from an uncleared table. To make matters worse, some of our dishes were mistakenly delivered to another table and only brought to us after the other guests pointed out the error.
May 17, 2025 · Evelyn XingKitsu is a new sushi find. Only had fresh fish & terrific! Small wait staff yet very pleasant. Very intimate feeling.
May 29, 2025 · Mildred MeyersIncredible find! Honestly some of the best ingredients you will find- from the rice to the fish, even the seaweed. Clearly every detail, texture, & ingredient has been carefully selected. These guys clearly take pride in quality and presentation. This is a hidden gem 💎💎💎
