Kiroro Sushi Introduce
For local residents in Belmont and the surrounding areas seeking a convenient and satisfying Japanese dining experience, particularly under the umbrella of a "Doctor Near Me" search—which implies a desire for easily accessible and trusted local services or goods—**Kiroro Sushi** presents itself as a notable option. Located at **1200 El Camino Real, Belmont, CA 94002, USA**, Kiroro Sushi offers a diverse menu for both casual meals and more substantial sushi experiences. You can reach them by phone at **(650) 394-4793** or via mobile at **+1 650-394-4793**.
Kiroro Sushi offers a mixed bag when it comes to its environment and ambiance, with different customer experiences highlighting varying aspects. One reviewer describes it as a "Clean interior and a nicer casual place to catch up with friends." This suggests a generally well-maintained and pleasant space suitable for informal gatherings and relaxed meals. This perception points to an atmosphere that is comfortable for everyday dining, where the focus is more on the company and the food rather than elaborate decor. However, a contrasting review paints a less favorable picture, describing the space as "very cramped, noisy space with no real service," and suggesting a "sit elbow to elbow" experience. This discrepancy might indicate variations in seating arrangements, perhaps a busy sushi bar versus more spacious table seating, or simply differing sensitivities to restaurant noise and crowd levels. Overall, it appears to lean towards a **casual dining setting**, potentially better suited for quick meals or smaller groups during off-peak hours, or for those who don't mind a bustling atmosphere during busy periods. Its location on El Camino Real makes it a prominent and easily accessible spot within Belmont.
The service at Kiroro Sushi receives highly conflicting feedback, making it a point of potential variability for diners. One positive review highlights "Good service, frequent water/tea refills," suggesting attentive and responsive staff. This level of service is generally appreciated, as it contributes to a comfortable and seamless dining experience, ensuring guests' needs are met promptly. This positive experience might be indicative of service during less busy times or with specific staff members who are more attuned to customer needs.
However, another review presents a starkly different and highly negative account of the service. This customer experienced significant delays, with their "first meal (scallop roll) arrived in more than 30 min," and a second dish, "the other salmon roll, never came." This indicates a severe issue with order accuracy and timeliness. The customer also overheard "another lady ask about her food," suggesting that forgotten orders and long wait times might not be isolated incidents. The advice to "Don't come here if you're in a rush; better yet, don't come at all" underscores a deep dissatisfaction with the service. This inconsistency in service quality, ranging from attentive to completely inadequate, is a critical factor for potential diners to consider. While some experiences may be smooth, others might involve frustratingly long waits and forgotten items, which can significantly detract from the overall dining experience, regardless of food quality. This suggests that the service aspect is an area where improvement or greater consistency is needed at Kiroro Sushi.
Kiroro Sushi offers a menu that appears to be focused on a range of sushi and other Japanese dishes, with specific sections designed to entice diners. Key features and culinary highlights include:
- **"Kiroro Super Star" Menu Section:** This section of the menu sounds particularly "enticing" to customers, suggesting it features unique or premium sushi offerings that warrant repeat visits. This indicates a creative and appealing selection of signature rolls or special sushi combinations.
- **Super Sugoi Box (30 pc Omakase):** This specific offering is highlighted as a substantial and premium choice, essentially a "30 pc omakase." It's described as "Good for one large hungry person, or for sharing between two," emphasizing its generous portion size. While a significant quantity, it's noted that even a "big eater" might have "trouble finishing it." This suggests it's a comprehensive tasting experience curated by the chef.
- **Fresh Fish:** Overall, the fish used for the sushi is described as "fresh," which is a fundamental requirement for good sushi. While one reviewer mentioned having "had better fish," they still considered the quality "pretty good overall." This indicates a generally reliable standard of freshness.
- **Wasabi Balance:** A specific detail noted is that some pieces of sushi had "too much wasabi," overpowering the taste of more delicate fish like uni (sea urchin), a customer's favorite. This suggests that diners who are particular about their wasabi level might need to communicate their preference.
- **Solid Sushi Spot:** Despite minor critiques, the overall consensus is that Kiroro Sushi is a "Solid sushi spot!" This indicates that, for many, the quality of the food generally meets expectations for a casual sushi restaurant.
- **Specific Rolls:** While a "scallop roll" and "salmon roll" were mentioned, detailed descriptions of their flavor or preparation were not provided, other than the long wait for them.
In essence, Kiroro Sushi aims to provide a solid and varied sushi experience, with a focus on generous portions and generally fresh ingredients. The "Kiroro Super Star" menu and the "Super Sugoi Box" appear to be key attractions for those looking to explore a wider range of offerings.
Based on the provided customer reviews, there is no explicit information detailing specific promotional offers, discounts, or loyalty programs currently available at Kiroro Sushi. The reviews focus on the menu items, the quality of the food, and aspects of the service. While one reviewer mentions that everything on the "Kiroro Super Star" section "sounds enticing," this refers to the appeal of the regular menu items rather than any temporary promotions or special pricing. Kiroro Sushi Reviews
4.5 stars! Everything on the "Kiroro Super Star" section of the menu sounds enticing, I think I'll be back to try more. Today, went with the priciest one, super sugoi box, which is basically a 30 pc omakase. Good for one large hungry person, or for sharing between two. I actually had some trouble finishing it myself, even as a big eater lol. Fish was fresh, but some had too much wasabi, e.g. it overpowered the taste of my fav, uni. I've had better fish but this is pretty good overall. Clean interior and a nicer casual place to catch up with friends. Good service, frequent water/tea refills. Recommend making a reservation if you got a larger group or going during peak hours. Solid sushi spot!
Mar 21, 2025 · Johnny AuyoungIf you like to sit elbow to elbow in a very cramped, noisy space with no real service, this place is for you! My first meal (scallop roll) arrived in more than 30 min; the other salmon roll never came. I heard another lady ask about her food, so I'm not the only person they forgot. Don't come here if you're in a rush; better yet, don't come at all.
May 21, 2025 · Tom LTotal Score: 6.65Bathroom: 3.25/5A bit broken, but fairly clean and usable. Floor can use some cleaning and the door can be fixed up.Customer Service: 4.5/5Nice and helpful, and refilled waters promptlyAmbiance: 4/5Classic contemporary Japanese restaurant vibe.Food: 3.5/5Decent sushi, good bang for your buck with the combo, and good variety. But shapes could be more consistent and missing the big umami factor. Edamame could also have been actually cooked, instead of given cold. Very hard to eat lowkey cuz it’s like cold salt instead of warm salt.Wow: 0/1Normal Japanese restaurantTotal Score = BR + CS + 2*AM + 5*FOOD + WOW
May 04, 2025 · George ZWe ordered one of their specials, Regular Chirashi Bowl, 2 types of sashimi and one Spider Ramen. The food was great. The Chirashi Bowl was spectacular. The Spider Ramen was quite interesting. Nice presentation with fried soft-shelled crab and shrimp tempura. The sashimi was also very fresh. The restaurant was quite fancy yet cozy. The price was on the expensive side, but the food was delicious.
Dec 27, 2024 · Judy Margaret ChenVery busy, efficient with good quality offerings. Quality of sashimi was excellent.I had gyoza and ramen. Gyoza were deep fried which was a disappointment, and the ramen was good , but probably not their strongest offering. The chashu pork and egg was good quality , and additional vegetables were plentiful. However the sashimi was excellent.
