Koi Sushi & Hibachi stands out in the Durham dining scene with several notable features:
Premier All-You-Can-Eat Japanese Experience: This is arguably the most significant highlight. Many customers consider it the "best all you can eat Sushi in the area," praising the extensive selection of sushi, sashimi, and hibachi included in the fixed price. This model offers exceptional value and the freedom to try a wide variety of dishes.
Fast and Attentive Service: A recurring theme in customer reviews is the speed at which food is brought out after ordering, even when the restaurant is full. This efficiency, coupled with attentive staff (like the "super star" waiter mentioned in a review), significantly enhances the dining experience, especially for an all-you-can-eat format.
Wide Variety of Sushi and Rolls: The sheer number and creativity of their sushi rolls, including the highly praised (though often limited) Salmon Flower, provide ample choices for all sushi preferences, from classic to more adventurous.
Inclusion of Hibachi and Sashimi: The all-you-can-eat dinner option often includes sashimi and hibachi dishes, adding more value and variety beyond just sushi rolls, catering to a broader range of Japanese cuisine cravings.
Value Pricing: The pricing for their all-you-can-eat lunch and dinner options is consistently highlighted as being very competitive and providing an "incredible amount of food for the money," making it a budget-friendly option for a satisfying Japanese meal.
Comfortable Ambiance: Despite being full, the restaurant manages to maintain an intimate feel, allowing diners to enjoy their meal in a relaxed setting.
Online Ordering and Delivery: The convenience of ordering through platforms like Grubhub and DoorDash offers flexibility for those who prefer to dine at home, extending their service reach across Durham.
Koi Sushi & Hibachi's core "special offer" is its highly attractive all-you-can-eat pricing structure, which is designed to provide excellent value for both lunch and dinner:
All-You-Can-Eat Lunch: Typically offered Monday through Saturday from 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM, priced around $17.95 per person. This includes a wide selection of sushi rolls, nigiri (often excluding certain premium types like yellowtail or eel), and various appetizers.
All-You-Can-Eat Dinner: Available from 3:00 PM to 9:30 PM Monday through Thursday, 3:00 PM to 10:30 PM on Friday and Saturday, and 12:30 PM to 9:30 PM on Sunday. The dinner option is typically priced around $23.95 per person and often expands to include more premium items such as sashimi, yellowtail, and eel, along with hibachi options.
Dine-In Only for AYCE: The all-you-can-eat option is generally for dine-in customers only, encouraging a full dining experience at the restaurant.
Leftover Charge Policy: It's important for diners to be aware of their policy regarding leftovers. The restaurant may charge an extra fee (e.g., $1 per piece of sushi) for uneaten food to discourage waste, which is a common practice in all-you-can-eat establishments.
While specific rotating daily specials beyond these fixed all-you-can-eat prices are not widely advertised, the comprehensive nature and value of the all-you-can-eat model itself serve as the primary and ongoing promotion. It is always best to confirm current pricing and any specific details directly with the restaurant before your visit.

Koi Sushi & Hibachi Reviews
Where to start? By far the best all you can eat Sushi in the area, I was pleasantly surprised with how fast they bring food back after you order, SILAS our waiter was a super star, attentive came a few times to make sure we were good, the only down side (you can only order 1 salmon flower,) I could have had a full plate of those things I mean WOW, the place was full but I still feel intimate and in my own space. The price… I could not believe when Silas brought my check… got a few sashimi pieces and left over charge fee it was under $70.0010/10… will definitely go back.
Mar 12, 2025 · mauricio concha perezit was good, but most of the sushi was monotonous and had a terrible filling of crab sticks or just crumbs. the first 3 rolls were good, the rest seemed the same. so the main problem was that they brought us more rolls than we ordered and it was impossible to finish it, and if you don't eat enough there you have to pay $ 1 for each piece of roll. was this a mistake or were they hoping that we wouldn't notice and they could charge us more money? it seems much more profitable to come and eat a couple of rolls without the all you can eat option
May 02, 2025 · ViolettaFirst time here last weekend when we came to eat before seeing a show. Connie, our server and the manager, was fantastic. Incredibly attentive and had an amazing personality. She had us smiling everytime she came to our table. The food came out quickly and was absolutely delicious, especially the house made hibachi sauce. And the price for all you can eat options is really fair too!We will definitely be back again!
Mar 30, 2025 · Marissa WeberGreat food and the staff is really nice. $24 All you can eat is great. There is a large selection to choose from as well. You can also go A La Carte if you don't want AYCE.The dessert and drinks are not included so be mindful of that. My Iced Tea was around $3.50. They have Pesi products and Alcohol. Just ask for their drink menu.Everything I had was great. I treated myself to the fried ice cream for $5. It was vanilla. Super good.Update 4/1/25:Went there for lunch. The menu is slightly smaller but still a lot of good choices. Can't beat All You Can Eat Lunch for $16.The Onion rings are the kind that are minced onions inside the ring. The cheese sticks are your typical Mozzarella Sticks which satisfied me. Everything else is just as good. The Edamame is a full appetizer size so keep that in mind when ordering. Still good though.
Apr 18, 2025 · Cindy ChanI had an excellent experience at Koi today for lunch, and I'm so glad I found this recently opened gem!Price/Value: 5/5 The weekday lunch is $15, which would be about the price of one specialty sushi roll anywhere else. (Weekend lunch and any day for dinner are both $24.) This is an excellent deal, given everything we ordered.Food: 4/5 The sushi was good, and above what I expected with all-you-can-eat. The hibachi was very good, and a generous portion. The presentation of every dish is excellent, and the food comes out quickly. A word of warning: you will be charged for food not eaten (I believe it's 50 cents for each uneaten piece of sushi, not sure how much hibachi would be, since we ate it all and ordered even more!)Service: 5/5 It's been a while since I've received such kind and attentive service! Our drinks were constantly refilled, our orders were placed and delivered quickly, and they frequently cleared plates from the table as we kept ordering.Overall: 4.5/5 Listen, you're not getting M Sushi level quality, but you're also paying less for an entire meal than a single roll at M. The food is a great value, the service is great, and the price is exceptional! I'll definitely be back.
