Feb 18, 2025 · Jacqueline LeeHad a great time. Super fresh ingredients and an awesome variety of fish. I had a great time and the price was Ok. Since I want to return to this place this is what could be nice to see improved: the acidity of the rice was a little too much, which was masking a good portion of white fish flavors. And spicy/wassabi garnish was somewhat repetitive, some could benefit from zesty or ginger flavors. At last the amount of the spicy garnish could be lower, like a small blueberry amount not a coffee bean amount.
May 09, 2025 · EugeneKombu is located on a busier street next to the highway, in an unassuming building, next to a whole foods. If get the opportuity to eat there, the food was fantastic and reasonably priced. while the omakase was good, the rolls really shined. I had the crazy roll and it was fresh, "spicy," flavorful, complex, yet simply and well executed.
May 29, 2025 · nadeem husainPhenomenal sushi. I'm going to give it 5 stars based on the quality alone. The service was good, not out of the ordinary. The music was just about as loud as a lot of trendy places these days are, which I hate, but I realize most people don't care so I don't think I'll lower the rating here.Personally if I have to say "what??" More than 3 times because I can't heat someone at my own table that's weird...but alas.
Feb 26, 2025 · Joshua FischerReally solid spot with high quality ingredients! They opened three months ago and love the new renovation.Everything we tried was top quality - some of the best uni we had, not fishy at all. Recommend the kampachi carpaccio, poke salad was surprisingly good, and the rolls were got were solid too. The toro special roll was definitely on the heavier side so make sure to balance it out with some veggie dishes.Super happy for a high quality sushi place in soma and hope they’ll expand their menu! The roll selection can include some lighter options and not everything needs to have salmon and avocado! Will be back to try the nigiris tho!Edit 1/1: came back to try a few more rolls and temakis and all still super solid! The a5 wagyu roll, toro temaki and sunflower roll were great. Service was super attentive and offered my grandma who doesn’t rly eat raw fish some chawanmushi - really appreciated the gesture 😊
