I was craving katsu today, very randomly. But it was fate I suppose, because when I stopped to pick up some delicious Hallow's Pizza from the next door cart, Kumakatsu was open for the first time since I've visited that pod. I knew it was meant to be, and didn't hesitate to order some katsu and a side of potato croquettes. The croquettes were crazy soft with a perfectly crisp breading. I wasn't used to the little veggies in them (pea, carrot, other things I ate without looking), but it was really tasty. The katsu was everything you'd want, fresh and perfectly crispy and NOT dry, and the variety of sauces were fun to mix and match. The pickled onions were also delicious. My boyfriend does not like katsu, for some reason, but he couldn't help but stand at the counter and eat half of it. He kept marveling that he actually really, really liked it. - Hannah Fritz
