- Cool Shared Plates: Such as Crispy Rice with blackened tuna, Whitefish Carpaccio, Hot Oil Salmon Carpaccio, Yellowtail Serrano, Kobe Tataki, and the inventive Bluefin Tuna Pizza.
- Warm Shared Plates: Popular options like Spicy Rock Shrimp (though some find it not very spicy), Wagyu Gyoza, Shrimp Tempura, Chicken Karaage, and Japanese Eggplant.
- Sushi & Sashimi: A selection of fresh sushi and sashimi, including various nigiri and signature rolls. While some past reviews have noted inconsistencies with sushi rice temperature, the quality of fish is generally intended to be high. Featured items include Sushi Moriawase (chef's combination), Sashimi Moriawase, and a Sushi Set.
- Signature Rolls: Creative rolls like "Hot Mess" (sashimi poke, crab), "Kumikaze" (spicy salmon), "007 Octopussy" (crab salad, spicy octopus), and "Pop Rockin'" (spicy tuna, crab, salmon, avocado, pop rocks).
- Entrees: A selection of larger main courses, including premium cuts of meat and seafood. Noteworthy dishes include expertly prepared New York steak, Jidori Chicken, Colorado Lamb Chops, Toban Fillet, and Ribeye. Seafood entrees like Kombu-Steamed Chilean Sea Bass and Miso Black Cod are also available.
- Extensive Bar Program: KUMI features a full-service bar with a wide array of beverages to complement the meal. This includes:

However, there are some avenues for potential savings for locals in Nevada:
- Gift Card Promotions: KUMI sometimes participates in gift card programs (e.g., through platforms like Giftly or Groupon), where you might find opportunities to purchase gift cards at a discount (e.g., save up to 30% off with a House Account, or a $50 discount on a $150 purchase through certain websites). These are not direct restaurant promotions but rather third-party offers.
- Resort-Specific Programs: As part of Mandalay Bay, KUMI may occasionally be included in resort-wide dining programs, loyalty rewards, or package deals for hotel guests or Mlife Rewards members. Locals with these memberships should inquire directly with the resort or restaurant.
- Convention & Group Deals: For large parties or convention attendees, KUMI offers extensive private dining and catering options. These often come with customized menus and pricing, which can be seen as a form of bundled value rather than a discount.
It's always recommended for locals to check KUMI's official website or call them directly for the most current information regarding any special events, seasonal menus, or potential promotions, as offerings can change.

KUMI Japanese Restaurant + Bar Reviews
Went with a large party so didn’t get to try the sushi but the premade menu was good. I usually don’t get New York steak but they prepared it best out of anywhere I’ve tried. Good brown crust on and pink in the middle, really worked well. The experience is just amazing, each dish wash done well and tasted great. The ambiance is also fancy and intimate, or private party spot is very open and spacious. Love that in Vegas all the high ends give you fancy water
February 28 · Jay WuThe quality has declined. Every year I came here to enjoy some nice sushi. But tonight I was disappointed. The salad was good. The spicy rock shrimp was good, but not spicy at all. The mushroom side order was horrible. All sour and vinegary. We had to return it. Then came our sushi.Real sushi should have warm rice, but the rice on every piece of nigiri was hard and cold. One of my nigiri pieces did not smell very good. What happened to the quality?SAKE. OMG, there was nothing less than $100 for a bottle of sake. Were the sizes 360ml or 720ml? What if I wanted a small 360ml bottle? In the past I could order a very nice small bottle of sake for $60, but $100 to $150 for the 5 or 6 selections was not worth it.So if I'm my annual conventions is at the Mandalay Bay again next year, I may try again for convenience sake. But there are so many good restaurants opening.
May 02 · Henry TingThe food here was amazing. The tuna fried rice was not too spicy but had a kick to it, the rainbow roll had the perfect amount of each ingredient, excellent taste. My favorite was the mushroom bop, the sauce was on point. We also had the tres leches cake, not too sweet like others I have tasted, very soft and fluffy. The drinks were also really good. The only thing I could rate lower is atmosphere and that is only because it is inside a casino hotel, there was a lot of people and it was very loud, not too much they can do to fix that, but it was very well worth it. It is pricy just like any other restaurant here, but if you are looking for great food, this is the place.
March 06 · N. Denisse Meza MankitaThe food was amazing, and service was excellent. I will definitely be back when I return to Las Vegas. We shared the Wagyu Gyozas and Signature rolls (Hot mess & Shogun) and each ordered a bowl of fried rice. We had more than enough to feel satisfied.
May 05 · P JI went here by myself when I needed some alone time and the service was amazing and food was so good and fresh!!! My sushi melted like butter in my mouth and the pork steam buns were so yummy. I definitely recommend.I also had the lichee cocktail and it was so yummy.
