Kura Sushi delivers on cleanliness and food quality — the restaurant is spotless, and the sushi itself is fresh, tasty, and well-prepared. It’s clear that cleanliness and food standards are a priority, which makes for a pleasant dining experience.However, some service issues take away from the overall experience. The staff, while polite, can be slow to attend to customers. During my visit, it took quite a while before someone came over, even when assistance was needed. Additionally, the conveyor belt — a central feature of the restaurant — was surprisingly empty for about 20 minutes, which is frustrating when you're relying on it for a quick and fun meal.Another concern that detracts from the experience is the behavior of other patrons, particularly those with young children. Some parents seemed inattentive, allowing their kids to poke at the sushi as it passed by on the belt. This raises hygiene concerns, especially in a setting where food is exposed and shared.Overall, Kura Sushi gets high marks for cleanliness and food quality but could improve on service speed and maintain a more hygienic environment through better supervision of the conveyor area.

They excelled at service and quality of food on their first day of soft opening. The nigiri’s were perfect, with super fresh seafood and soft and warm rice. The crispy taco is a new item and was delicious.The service was great and is very kids friendly. Something to watch out is to eat until you are full and not chase after the 15 plates that unlocks a prize.

Weren't hungry, just came here to check out this newly opened McKinney location after we had visited Plano and Frisco branches.Not good, not bad. They used the typical self-help digital ordering system, but finding sashimi was oddly complicated—it’s tucked away under the "noodles and sides" tab, which didn’t make much sense. Had to ask staff for help to eventually find it. Thanks to him.Otherwise, standard experience.

So excited that Kura opened a location in McKinney! This is a family favorite restaurant so we had to make it to the grand opening. Service was great, food was fresh and the new restaurant looked good.

This new Kura restaurant is typical of a Kura restaurant, fast, friendly, and clean! The sushi tastes as good as other Kura restaurants or other sushi spots. The AC is very strong, so it gets pretty cold inside. Very random, but unlike other Kura restaurants, I found it interesting that the toilet had a Japanese-style bidet!
