Revolving Sushi Conveyor Belt Dining: The signature service, where plates of sushi and other small dishes rotate on a conveyor belt past diners, allowing for spontaneous selection. This offers a dynamic and interactive dining experience.
Touch Panel Ordering for Hot/Specialty Items: In addition to the revolving belt, customers can order specific hot dishes, drinks, and specialty items directly from a touch screen at their table. These items are then delivered via a separate express lane or by staff, ensuring freshness and customization.
Dine-In Service: Enjoy the full Kura experience within a vibrant and often busy restaurant atmosphere. Despite being busy, the customer service is noted as "excellent."
Takeout Options: While the revolving belt experience is unique to dining in, Kura also offers takeout options for those who wish to enjoy their favorite sushi and Japanese dishes at home. It is best to check their website or call directly for details on their takeout menu and ordering process.
Variety of Japanese Dishes: Beyond the extensive sushi selection (including nigiri and handrolls), the menu often includes ramen (like "Udon with beef"), various sashimi options, and other cooked dishes (such as Wagyu, seared beef, and poke bowls, though the cooked versions might be different from what some expect). This wide array ensures there's something for every palate.
Japanese-Inspired Atmosphere: The restaurant aims to recreate an authentic Japanese dining feel, with one customer noting, "I have been to Japan recently and the atmosphere here reminds me of that."
Unique Revolving Sushi Concept: The most prominent feature is the engaging conveyor belt system, providing a "fun experience" where diners can pick dishes as they pass by. This interactive element makes dining at Kura a memorable event.
Excellent Customer Service: Despite the restaurant often being "super busy," reviews highlight "excellent customer service," indicating that staff are attentive and provide a positive experience even during peak hours.
Variety of Flavorful Dishes: Kura offers a broad selection of sushi, sashimi, handrolls, and other Japanese dishes. Specific recommendations include "Sea brim with yuzu," "Yellow tail," "Salmon toro," "Sashimi with garlic oil," "Sweet shrimp," "Seared scallops," "Scallop handroll," and "Udon with beef." The handrolls are noted for being "very flavorful and created with nice presentation."
Authentic Japanese Atmosphere: For those who appreciate cultural authenticity, the ambiance at Kura reminds customers of dining experiences in Japan, contributing to a more immersive meal.
Interactive Bikkura Pon Prize System: Kura often incorporates a "Bikkura Pon" prize system where customers receive a prize for every 15 plates they consume. This adds an extra layer of fun, especially for families and groups, encouraging more engagement with the dining experience.
Freshness Focus (with a caveat): While overall food quality is described as "decent" and good for a "quick fix," some customers note that sushi could be served "more chilled." However, the presentation of dishes is generally well-received.
Digital Ordering System: The touch panel ordering system for specialty items adds convenience and efficiency, allowing diners to quickly get exactly what they want without waiting.
Kura Revolving Sushi Bar, like many dynamic restaurant concepts, often features unique promotions and special offers, especially through its Bikkura Pon prize system. While specific daily or weekly deals should always be confirmed directly with the Fort Worth location, Kura is known for its interactive approach to rewarding diners. Customers earn a prize for every 15 plates they consume, which adds an exciting element to the dining experience and encourages more engagement with the diverse menu. This unique "gamified" loyalty program serves as a continuous special offer, particularly appealing to families and groups.
Additionally, it's always a good idea for locals to check Kura's official website or their social media channels for any seasonal promotions, new menu item launches, or limited-time specials. These might include discounts on specific dishes, happy hour deals on drinks, or special bundles. Given its popularity and unique concept, Kura may also participate in local dining events or offer holiday-themed promotions. For the vibrant community of Fort Worth, Kura Revolving Sushi Bar offers more than just a meal; it provides a unique and memorable dining adventure that stands out in the local culinary scene. Its suitability for Texans lies in several key aspects that resonate with our desire for good food, good times, and good value.
Firstly, the "fun experience" of the revolving sushi concept itself is a major draw. It caters to a sense of discovery and spontaneity that many locals appreciate. Instead of waiting for individual orders, you can instantly pick and choose from a wide array of beautifully presented dishes as they pass by. This interactive element makes dining an engaging activity, perfect for families with kids, groups of friends, or even a solo diner looking for something entertaining. The added "Bikkura Pon" prize system further enhances this playfulness, making every 15 plates consumed an exciting milestone.
While some might comment on the "decent" quality rather than "best quality," it perfectly serves the purpose of a "quick fix" for sushi cravings. For a revolving sushi bar, the breadth of offerings from various sushi and sashimi options to hot dishes like "Udon with beef" and specialty handrolls ensures there's always something to satisfy a wide range of tastes. The "very flavorful" handrolls and "nice presentation" are consistent highlights, promising a satisfying culinary experience.
Furthermore, the "excellent customer service" despite often being "super busy" speaks volumes about their dedication to the diner. In a busy environment, attentive staff who are friendly and helpful make a significant difference, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable visit. This level of service is something Texans value highly, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere.
Finally, the authentic "atmosphere" that reminds customers of Japan adds a cultural layer to the dining experience. It provides a sense of travel and immersion without leaving Fort Worth, appealing to those who appreciate global flavors and experiences. While the "price per plate" can add up, leading to a "little on the higher side" depending on consumption, the unique experience, variety, and quality for a conveyor belt concept make it "definitely worth a try" for many locals. Kura Revolving Sushi Bar is more than just a meal; it's an entertaining and satisfying outing that offers a distinct taste of Japanese dining right here in Texas.

Kura Revolving Sushi Bar Reviews
Fun experience, excellent customer service. The sushi was good, I would have liked it served more chilled. It was super busy and a little warm inside the restaurant. The sushi handrolls were very flavorful and created with nice presentation. It’s a cool concept and definitely worth a try, prices are a little on the higher side due to price per plate. Dinner for two depending on how many plates, we spent $56 before tip and were level 1 full.
Feb 16, 2025 · Dan TI have been to Japan recently and the atmosphere here reminds me of that.Food quality wise, it’s decent. It’s not the best quality, but it definitely will give me my quick fix. I didn’t like the rice, so opt out for nigiri and go for the sashimi when you can.Dishes I recommend:Sea brim with yuzu *Yellow tail *Salmon toroSashimi with garlic oilSweet shrimpSeared scallopsScallop handrollUdon with beef *Uni- was ok but good for its priceWagyu was okSeared beef in yakiniku ok
Feb 18, 2025 · Jasmine VIf you're on the hunt for an amazing sushi experience, this is the place to be! The revolving plates concept adds a fun twist to your meal, making it not just dinner but an adventure. Each turn brings new delicious options right to your fingertips. Truly a must-visit for sushi lovers! 🍣✨
Mar 16, 2025 · Ken ThonethaoFun experience but the food was mid. The sushi grade is not the best. The soup I had was super sweet. Everything was pretty salty for the apps. The sushi did come out cold which I like. The rice was kind of mooshy if you know what I mean. It’s a super cool concept, clean, friendly. The server was super nice.
Apr 28, 2025 · MeaganOverall rating is 3.5 stars. New location for Kura and we enjoyed this one far more than their Carrollton location. Everything was clean, bathrooms have heated bidets, and sushi was acceptable. Negitoro and wagyu nigiri were probably my favorites. Unagi and uni nigiri were decent. Their spicy tuna is lacking. There were 4 of us, 2 of whom have never eaten sushi before and are in their 70s. We started them slow with the wagyu and other beef nigiri. We then moved them onto unagi nigiri, and finally the caterpillar roll.At $3.45 a plate, this seems a little more pricey from what I remember conveyor belt sushi being. The novelty for the 70+ year olds really helped them into the idea of trying many different things without having to commit to large portions. All in all, this wasn't bad. Service was a little slow. We'd consider coming here again.
