We visited this place with the whole family, as many states have this chain of cafes, but unfortunately we had mixed feelings. Good location, but parking can be a problem because there is a shopping center and other establishments nearby, so sometimes searching takes extra time. This is a busy place and I would recommend either booking a table in advance or being prepared for a long wait for a table, sometimes the line is very long. There are not many seats, but interestingly, there is a separate area where you can eat alone. This is an interesting format for serving food, a real attraction, for children it will also seem fun. The waiters are attentive and polite. As soon as you sit down at your table, you will be kindly instructed. Also, clarify what drinks you prefer. Additional dishes can be ordered on the tablet located above each table. We were very inspired by the atmosphere, but the food did not live up to our expectations. Most of the rolls were dry. My husband ordered an extra soup and it was delicious. Because we were looking for tasty rolls, we took one plate after another, but we never found anything that we really thought was tasty, but it's a shame that the bill was quite large because of this. You can also try desserts. I think that for this money you can eat more filling and tasty food elsewhere, but it's worth going here once, so to speak, to get an interesting experience. The place is clean, the toilets are also clean, there are no unpleasant smells. You can enter this place from across the street and through the door directly from the nearby shopping center. - Iryna Miroshnychenko

Kura Revolving Sushi Bar Introduce

For those in Tampa seeking a distinctly modern and interactive Japanese dining experience, Kura Revolving Sushi Bar offers a unique concept that stands out in the culinary scene. Located at 214 Westshore Plaza C-39, Tampa, FL 33609, USA, Kura brings the popular Japanese "kaiten-zushi" (conveyor belt sushi) format to local diners. Within the "Doctor Near Me" platform category, which connects users with various services and goods, Kura Revolving Sushi Bar serves as a notable option for a convenient, entertaining, and generally accessible meal, contributing to the broader spectrum of local provisions.

Kura Revolving Sushi Bar can be reached via phone at (813) 534-0770 or mobile at +1 813-534-0770. Its strategic location within Westshore Plaza makes it a convenient stop for shoppers and locals, though this also implies potential challenges for parking due to the surrounding businesses and shopping center, which customers should anticipate. It is a highly popular and often busy establishment, suggesting a strong local demand for its unique offerings.

### Environment and Ambiance

The environment at Kura Revolving Sushi Bar is a key part of its appeal, designed to provide an engaging and dynamic dining experience. The central feature is the conveyor belt system, which continuously circulates plates of sushi and other small dishes past diners. This "interesting format for serving food" makes it a "real attraction" and is particularly "fun for children," turning a meal into an interactive event. The restaurant is described as clean, with "clean toilets" and "no unpleasant smells," which contributes to a comfortable and hygienic dining atmosphere.

While the establishment can be very busy and "there are not many seats" for its high demand, it cleverly incorporates a "separate area where you can eat alone," catering to individual diners seeking a quick and private meal. The overall atmosphere is vibrant and bustling, filled with the excitement of dishes passing by and the anticipation of new offerings. The restaurant's integration within Westshore Plaza means it can be accessed directly from the shopping center, enhancing its convenience for mall-goers. The "Instagram-worthy" nature of the revolving belt and the overall concept also contributes to its modern appeal and shareability.

### Services Offered

Kura Revolving Sushi Bar employs a streamlined service model centered around its unique delivery system. Upon being seated, guests are "kindly instructed" on how the system works and how to order. Waiters are noted for being "attentive and polite," handling drink orders and providing assistance as needed. The primary method of ordering additional dishes is via a "tablet located above each table," allowing for a highly efficient and personalized ordering process beyond what's available on the conveyor belt. This digital ordering system empowers diners to request specific items freshly made, ensuring a broad selection.

Given its popularity, especially during peak hours, the restaurant advises either "booking a table in advance or being prepared for a long wait for a table," as "sometimes the line is very long." This highlights the importance of planning for a visit. While the focus is on the dine-in experience due to the unique revolving belt, customers can typically expect takeout options for those who prefer to enjoy Kura's food at home, although the full interactive experience is best appreciated on-site. The quick turnaround of plates on the belt makes it suitable for both a leisurely meal and a relatively fast dining experience.

### Culinary Features and Specialties

The core culinary feature of Kura Revolving Sushi Bar is its fresh, portion-controlled sushi and other Japanese dishes served on a conveyor belt. This allows diners to pick plates as they pass by, offering immediate gratification and the opportunity to try a wide variety of items without committing to full-sized portions. One enthusiastic reviewer praised this aspect, stating, "I love the smaller portions. Because a lot of times when you go to sushi restaurants, they give you like an entire roll that can feed two to three people in my opinion. And it's like I want something a little bit more smaller. So that way I can try more things. And this gives you the perfect sizes for the food in my opinion. That allows you to try more things." This emphasis on small plates encourages exploration and discovery of new flavors.

While one customer had "mixed feelings" about the food, noting that "most of the rolls were dry" and that despite trying multiple plates, they "never found anything that we really thought was tasty," another reviewer enthusiastically declared, "The food was amazing. ...the food tastes really good and fresh." This suggests a potential variability in experience, or perhaps differing expectations. However, the consistent praise for the freshness and taste from one reviewer indicates a strong potential for high-quality offerings. The variety extends beyond sushi, with items like soup (one customer's husband ordered and found it "delicious") and desserts also available to round out the meal. The concept itself promotes trying a diverse range of items, from classic nigiri and maki rolls to more unique offerings and appetizers.

### Promotional Information

Kura Revolving Sushi Bar frequently employs unique promotional strategies centered around its interactive dining experience, particularly its "Bikkura Pon" prize system. This system is a major draw, especially for families and children. For every five plates (typically priced around $3.50 per plate, though prices can vary), patrons can drop them into a slot at their table to trigger a short animation on the tablet, with a chance to win a small prize from a gashapon machine. This gamified approach adds an extra layer of fun to the dining experience and acts as a strong incentive for ordering more plates.

  • Bikkura Pon Rewards: The primary promotion, encouraging diners to collect empty plates for a chance to win prizes. Prizes often change seasonally or are tied to popular anime/cartoon characters, keeping the experience fresh.
  • Seasonal Menu Items: Kura often introduces limited-time seasonal sushi and other dishes, providing a reason for repeat visits to try new flavors.
  • Reasonable Pricing: Customers have noted that "the prices were extremely reasonable as well," making the concept accessible to a broad demographic, especially considering the "all-you-can-eat-style" of trying many smaller plates without a fixed buffet price.

While specific percentage-off discounts or traditional coupon codes may not be their primary promotional tools, the inherent value in the smaller, affordable plates and the engaging Bikkura Pon system serve as significant draws. For the most current details on seasonal offerings or any special events, diners are encouraged to check Kura Revolving Sushi Bar's official website or social media channels.

In conclusion, Kura Revolving Sushi Bar at Westshore Plaza offers an unparalleled interactive sushi dining experience in Tampa. Its unique conveyor belt system, combined with touch-panel ordering and the exciting Bikkura Pon prize game, makes it a must-visit destination, particularly for families and those seeking a fun and novel way to enjoy Japanese cuisine. Despite potential waits and parking challenges, the fresh, small-portioned dishes and engaging atmosphere ensure a memorable outing. Within the "Doctor Near Me" context, Kura provides a distinct and convenient culinary service that blends entertainment with satisfying food, standing out as a unique local offering.
