Kura Revolving Sushi Bar is conveniently located at 11703 SW Beaverton Hillsdale Hwy, Beaverton, OR 97005, USA. This address places it along a major thoroughfare in Beaverton, ensuring excellent visibility and easy accessibility for residents throughout the city and neighboring communities. The location on Beaverton Hillsdale Highway typically offers ample parking opportunities, which is a significant plus for patrons driving to the restaurant. Its presence in a well-established commercial zone means it's well-connected by local transportation routes as well, making it a practical choice for a broad range of Oregonians. Kura Revolving Sushi Bar provides a highly interactive and customer-friendly dining experience with a range of innovative services:
- Revolving Sushi Bar: The core of the Kura experience is the dual-layer conveyor belt system. The lower belt carries a variety of fresh sushi and small plates, allowing diners to pick items directly as they pass.
- Touch-Screen Ordering with Express Belt: Guests can order specific dishes directly from a tablet at their table. These orders are then delivered quickly via a separate "express belt" (often referred to as a "sushi highway") that runs above the main revolving belt, ensuring your custom orders arrive fresh and fast.
- Robot Beverage Delivery: Adding to the futuristic fun, Kura utilizes "Kur-B the KuraBot" (robot servers) to deliver beverages and condiments directly to tables, minimizing human contact and maximizing efficiency.
- Dine-in Experience: The restaurant features a modern and clean interior with comfortable seating, designed to enhance the interactive dining concept. The lively atmosphere is ideal for a fun meal with family and friends.
- Takeout and Delivery: For convenience, Kura offers online ordering for pickup, allowing customers to enjoy their favorite dishes at home. They also partner with various delivery platforms for home delivery.
- Bikkura Pon Prize System: A unique gamified element, patrons can deposit empty sushi plates into a slot at their table. For every 15 plates inserted, a short animation plays on the tablet, and a small prize dispenses from a machine overhead, particularly popular with children and those "going for the experience."
- Extensive Menu: Beyond sushi, Kura offers a wide selection of Japanese dishes including ramen (such as Tantanmen, Miso Ramen, Shoyu Ramen, Tonkotsu Ramen), udon, tempura, gunkan, nigiri, and various desserts. They are known for using real wasabi.
Kura Revolving Sushi Bar stands out in the Oregon dining scene due to its distinctive and engaging features:
- High-Tech Dining Experience: The combination of a dual-track conveyor belt system, touch-screen ordering tablets, and robot beverage delivery creates a truly unique and modern dining experience that differentiates it from traditional sushi restaurants.
- "Mr. Fresh™" Sushi Lids: Kura utilizes patented dome-like lids on their conveyor belt plates to ensure the sushi remains fresh and hygienic while in rotation. Plate-tracking technology monitors how long items have been on the belt to maintain freshness.
- Interactive Gamification (Bikkura Pon): The Bikkura Pon prize system, where guests earn small toys or charms for every 15 empty plates deposited, adds an element of fun and encourages engagement, especially appealing to families with children.
- Variety of Sushi & Dishes: The restaurant offers a broad spectrum of "American sushi" varieties, appealing to local tastes, alongside more traditional nigiri and gunkan. Their menu also extends to include a range of ramen, udon, tempura, and desserts, offering diverse choices. They also notably use real wasabi.
- Clean and Modern Interior: Despite the "busy and loud" vibe that some might perceive, the interior is consistently described as "clean" and "looks great," with nice seating arrangements, contributing to a pleasant dining environment.
- Consistency (Mostly): While some reviews note occasional inconsistencies in portion size or item availability, the overall experience is often described as good, and many indicate they "would come back." The focus is often on the "experience" as much as the food itself.

Kura Revolving Sushi Bar Reviews
Food is good overall. Has variety of American sushi I’ve never seen before.Portions are tiny. At least they use Real Wasabi, most sushi places use fake.Customer service is poor. Took longer than 5 minutes to even greet us and others waiting. 50% full seated. No eye contact or even a “hello, we will be with you shortly.” They need training. There is not even wait seating. We just stood there like dummies.Vibe feels busy and loud.Gimmicky robot that delivers your beverages.Touchscreen ordering system and conveyor belt delivers food.Interior looks great. Nice seating and clean. We just came for “the experience”We would never come again though. I wish all the best!-2⭐️ Tiny portions and Over Priced
Mar 17, 2025 · SithatThere were a lot of items missing on the menu or not available. The quality of the food i would say hit and miss. One roll can be different by who prepare it. If I order a Uni roll, the amount of Uni will be less than my friend order 3 mins later. It is not consistent, but overall, it is a good experience. I would come back, but not as much cause I feel like some of the dishes are a bit over price for conveyor belt type sushi. All the hype was for me to go out and experience it for myself. Everyone have their own experience and opinions.
Jan 04, 2025 · AQP NhatIt was very much overpriced. It’s $3.95 per plate and most of the plates, there’s only 2 pieces of sushi. The most I’ve seen was the basic california roll with had 3 pieces. We came for the experience not for the food. For 4 people, our bill was $145. We had 22 plates, 2 ramen and 2 plates (the tempura vegetable plate). Good chance we won’t go back.
Mar 02, 2025 · nikki ganataThis is a welcome change for the typical revolving sushi restaurants in Beaverton. We almost felt like we were in Japan. To begin with, a server trains you on how to order and how to grab the plate. The robot brings drinks to the table and if you order food from the menu it shows up on the top tier of the conveyor belt. Fun! The only downside is that it is too easy to spend a lot of money here because the plates are small and tasty.
Jan 16, 2025 · Beth BuckleyThe sushi is low quality and overpriced. It’s not very tasty and seems like it’s rushed. None of the rolls I had were good. The soup was bland. As a party of four none of us were satisfied. The only cool thing about it is the sushi belt being modern. Don’t believe the hype!!
