Kurama Japanese Seafood

Japanese restaurant, Asian restaurant ★4.0 (294)·$20–30

3644 Durham-Chapel Hill Blvd, Durham, NC 27707, USA

4.0
If I can give a zero star, I would.Right after we enter the restaurant, the air is filled with smoke - not a nice smell from the hibachi, but burnt smell! Was thinking.. uh-oh did the chef screw up and burnt the food?!We have it a try anyway and ordered shrimp and scallops hibachi. For a $30 set, I expect to enjoy myself. Disappointment hits once food served, a chunk of burnt bean sprout on my plate. Had high hopes for the scallops (this is what I paid for right???). Scallop tasted nothing but salty! VERY VERY SALTY. Does the kitchen only has one seasoning - soy sauce?!! Shrimp is not fresh. Fried rice is tasteless.Bathroom floor and doors are sticky! How did this place get over 4.0 rating? Feel sad for people who thinks it’s ok to eat here - Joyce Yap
