Kuru Kuru Pa Teriyaki Bowls stands out for several unique features and highlights that contribute to its popularity and positive customer experiences.
Created by DJ Steve Aoki and Kevin Aoki: This is a major highlight, as the restaurant is the brainchild of Grammy-nominated DJ Steve Aoki and his restaurateur brother, Kevin Aoki. Their involvement brings a creative, energetic, and high-quality approach to the menu, leveraging their family's deep roots in Japanese cuisine (their father, Rocky Aoki, founded Benihana). This celebrity connection adds a unique flair and draws interest from both locals and visitors.
Signature Teriyaki Sauce: At the heart of every bowl is their "signature teriyaki sauce." This special sauce is a key component that delivers a "delicious" and distinctive flavor, elevating the simple teriyaki bowl to something memorable. Customers consistently praise the taste of the bowls, indicating the sauce's successful recipe.
High-Quality Protein Options: Kuru Kuru Pa sets itself apart with its premium protein selections. The availability of Snake River Farms wagyu is a significant draw, offering a luxurious and tender beef option. Other proteins like Mama Aoki’s garlic butter shrimp and garlic butter salmon also underscore a commitment to quality ingredients, ensuring a satisfying and flavorful meal.
Exceptional Customer Service: Despite being a fast-casual concept within a bustling food hall, Kuru Kuru Pa is noted for its attentive and kind service. One reviewer specifically mentioned an employee noticing their broken plastic fork and promptly replacing it without being asked, highlighting a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and a pleasant dining experience.
Vibrant, Anime-Inspired Ambiance: The concept itself is "unique Japanese anime-themed," which, according to the Aoki Group, matches the "colorful and energetic space." This design element, coupled with Steve Aoki's anime videos on LED screens, creates a dynamic and immersive environment that adds to the overall enjoyment of the meal, giving guests a sense of excitement akin to dining at a Southeast Asian hawker-style street market.

May 21, 2025 · Piyanan OransidhipongI stopped by this place on a whim before heading into Resort World’s Theater for a concert. I was blown away by the beef teriyaki. I highly recommend. The service is great. I was eating with a plastic fork which broke while I was eating. I just kept using it and an employee noticed and brought a new one to me. That small act of kindness made my day!
Mar 16, 2024 · Jen HalesI had high hopes for these teriyaki bowls after hearing so much about the Famous Eats food court. We came on a Sunday around 7, and most of the booths were closed. These were...fine. Felt like mostly rice and not really enough flavor. I had hoped for more.
Mar 14, 2025 · Jessica RathbunAssociates were nice. Its not their fault they have to serve what they do. This place is a walk up food place located in resort world in Las Vegas so it's like a mall/food court setting with a casino feet away. The food tho... how can they get it so wrong? The skewers are so small and thin. I personally didn't get blown away by the flavor either. The menu is confusing. They show various things in each picture but it's one of each so I paid 26 bux for 3 things. Rice ball and 2 skewers. I hope I can attach a picture. I sure the details are there but when you're hungry and excited about this place so I over looked that part I guess.Long review short... No I don't recommend this place. Especially if your hungry. These are appetizer sizes and well I wish I had looked at the reviews first.
May 05, 2023 · Currey PandaThe wagyu bowl with added shrimps was a delicious experience. The wagyu beef was tender, with a rich with flavor that paired perfectly with the shrimp. The teriyaki sauce added a perfect balance of savory and sweet. I would def recommend
