Kyoto Teriyaki Restaurant Introduce
In the heart of Puyallup, Washington, residents seeking a satisfying and authentic Japanese meal have a convenient and frequently lauded option: Kyoto Teriyaki Restaurant. While the platform category "Doctor Near Me" typically pertains to healthcare services, its inclusion in this context effectively highlights Kyoto Teriyaki Restaurant's role as a readily accessible and beneficial local establishment. Much like a "Doctor Near Me" service connects individuals with essential health providers in their vicinity, Kyoto Teriyaki provides a vital service by offering delicious and quick Japanese cuisine right in the community. It caters to a local need for quality food without the hassle of extensive travel, making it a "go-to" spot for many, akin to how one might rely on a nearby medical professional for immediate needs.
Located at 513 S Meridian, Puyallup, WA 98371, USA, Kyoto Teriyaki Restaurant is easily accessible for residents of Puyallup and surrounding areas. For inquiries or to place an order, customers can reach them at (253) 435-1599 or via mobile at +1 253-435-1599. This central location in Puyallup underscores its accessibility, aligning with the "Doctor Near Me" principle of proximity and convenience. For those seeking a quick and satisfying meal, its presence in the local commercial landscape makes it a natural and easy choice.
The environment at Kyoto Teriyaki Restaurant, based on customer reviews, offers a functional and straightforward setup primarily geared towards efficiency and takeout orders, yet it does provide limited seating. One reviewer noted, "They have a couple of tables for seating," indicating that while dining in is an option, it's not necessarily the primary focus or a sprawling, elaborate space. This suggests a casual, unpretentious atmosphere, typical of a popular local eatery focused on quality food and quick service. The environment is clean and conducive to a quick meal or waiting for a pickup order. The availability of "a good drink selection including Hawaiian Sun juices" adds a nice touch, enhancing the dining experience even in a more compact setting. This type of environment emphasizes efficiency and a focus on the product, much like a specialized medical office might prioritize effective treatment over elaborate waiting rooms.
The service at Kyoto Teriyaki Restaurant presents a mixed bag of customer experiences, primarily revolving around phone interactions versus in-person interactions. One customer had a very positive experience, stating, "The lady was very nice on the phone and in person (and I ordered close to 7pm)." This highlights moments of excellent customer service, characterized by politeness and helpfulness. However, other reviews point to challenges with phone service, describing it as "rude and short." There also appears to be a disconnect regarding their closing times for phone orders, with customers reporting being told "No! We’re closed!" at 7:10 pm, despite Google indicating a 7:30 pm closing time. This discrepancy causes frustration for some patrons, particularly those seeking the highly acclaimed Chicken Katsu. It suggests that while in-person interactions can be very positive, there might be inconsistencies in their phone-based customer service, especially during peak or end-of-day hours. Transparency about operating hours and phone order cut-offs would likely improve the overall service perception. This situation mirrors how a "Doctor Near Me" service might have excellent in-office care but perhaps some challenges with phone scheduling or wait times, impacting the overall patient experience.
The features that truly distinguish Kyoto Teriyaki Restaurant lie in the quality and taste of its food. Despite the mixed reviews on service, the food consistently receives high praise. Customers rave about the "super tasty food," with specific dishes receiving accolades. The chicken is highlighted for having "a great char," indicating proper cooking techniques that enhance flavor and texture. The gyozas are described as "perfectly crisp," a testament to their preparation. The yakisoba stands out due to its generous vegetable content, with one reviewer noting it had "more veggies than other restaurants around the area," which is a significant plus for those seeking a more balanced and hearty meal. Perhaps the most frequently praised item is the Chicken Katsu, which one reviewer proudly declared "the best Chicken Katsu in the town." This strong endorsement suggests a signature dish that has truly captured the local palate. The way they prepare the cabbage is also noted, indicating attention to detail even in side dishes. These culinary highlights are the restaurant's strongest asset, drawing customers back repeatedly and building a loyal following.
Regarding promotional information, while no explicit marketing campaigns or discount offers are provided in the reviews, the restaurant's strongest promotion comes from the enthusiastic word-of-mouth generated by its delicious food. The statement, "We always order to-go, we never eat in," from a loyal customer, highlights the popularity of their takeout service, which is a form of organic promotion. The constant return of customers for their favorite dishes, despite some service inconsistencies, is a testament to the food's quality and appeal. The mention of "the best Chicken Katsu in the town" serves as a powerful, unsolicited testimonial that likely draws new customers. For a local establishment, especially one that fits the "Doctor Near Me" accessibility model, positive peer recommendations are often more impactful than formal advertisements. The desire to "Get everyone excited for the best Chicken Katsu in the town" demonstrates the inherent promotional power of a well-executed signature dish. The call to "Give them a try and be nice to the lady lol!" also acts as a humorous and endearing form of community-driven promotion, encouraging new patrons to experience the food firsthand.
In conclusion, Kyoto Teriyaki Restaurant in Puyallup, WA, is a highly regarded local Japanese eatery. Its environment is practical and geared towards efficient service, with limited but functional seating. While phone service can be inconsistent, in-person interactions are generally friendly and positive. The core strength of the restaurant lies in its exceptional food, with particular praise for its chicken's char, perfectly crisp gyozas, veggie-rich yakisoba, and, most notably, "the best Chicken Katsu in the town." The consistent quality of its dishes serves as its most potent promotional tool, drawing in repeat customers and generating enthusiastic word-of-mouth. For Puyallup residents seeking delicious, convenient, and high-quality Japanese cuisine, Kyoto Teriyaki Restaurant stands as a reliable and popular choice, embodying the essence of a valuable local service, much like discovering a reliable "Doctor Near Me" when you need it most.

Kyoto Teriyaki Restaurant Reviews
Was a little anxious to try this spot as the reviews were a mixed bag, but I’m real glad I did. Pick up order was ready quickly, and super tasty food- love the way they prepare the cabbage, chicken had a great char and gyozas were perfectly crisp. Yakisoba had more veggies than other restaurants around the area. The lady was very nice on the phone and in person (and I ordered close to 7pm). I think anybody with negative comments about her had to of been rude first. They have a couple of tables for seating and a good drink selection including Hawaiian Sun juices. Give them a try and be nice to the lady lol!
May 23, 2025 · Lexi NaultFood is great. Love it very much. We always order to-go, we never eat in. The phone service is rude and short. They don’t ever take a to-go phone order after 7pm on a regular weekday. Just say the restaurant closes at 7pm. Google says 7:30. Get everyone excited for the best Chicken Katsu in the town and then say “No! We’re closed!” At 7:10pm. Lame…
