Apr 20, 2025 · Jerelle ReverackI was in Boston and I know there are several other spots to get ramen or pho but I decided to eat here for the availability of both. There wasn't really much of a wait to be seated and the staff greeted me well. I ordered the, "In My No Drinking Era" while I waited for the dish I ordered which "Shoyu Paitan." The serving was more than I expected but that's not a complaint. ait was definitely worth the price for what they give you and I left there satisfied and full. I'll definitely be returning.
Apr 01, 2025 · Le'Anthony Joneschefs kiss for the dumplings in chili oil ! You can’t go wrong, the pork dumplings are delicious and the chili oil is perfectly spiced and the cilantro makes it taste fresh. The curry laksa broth is flavorful, makes even the vegetarian ramen taste so good. The hostess was super friendly and the atmosphere was great !Will return again until then Bon appetite!
May 25, 2025 · Sachin SawantTrendy Spot with Solid Flavors and Room for ImprovementWe recently visited Mecha Noodle Bar for lunch. The restaurant has a trendy, modern vibe and was bustling during the lunch rush—a great sign for a new spot. However, the seating features backless stools, which, while fitting the aesthetic, can become uncomfortable after a while.Unfortunately, the experience started on a slight disappointment as they were out of brisket and another protein option we had hoped to order. We adjusted and substituted dishes, and while the alternatives were enjoyable, it’s always a bit of a letdown when the menu isn’t fully available.I ordered the Tonkatsu 3.0, which featured flavorful pork belly, and the Spicy Beef Ramen, substituting sliced beef (likely round chuck). While sliced beef is a common addition in pho, it’s less typical for ramen, though it worked well enough. The ramen broth was good, and the pork belly stood out for its rich flavor. I added their spicy chili oil, which I’d recommend if you enjoy some heat.We also tried a few appetizers: the KFC Bao Bun and the Sticky Ribs. Both were well-executed, with the bao bun offering a satisfying mix of textures and flavors, and the ribs being sticky, tender, and flavorful.Overall, Mecha Noodle Bar delivers good food in a lively setting. While there were some hiccups, the potential is clear, and I’d be interested to see how they evolve with time. If you’re in the area and craving noodles or small bites, it’s worth a visit—but maybe aim for off-peak hours to avoid the rush.
Jan 02, 2025 · Brian MartynowiczStarted considering movie to Brookline after eating this ramen. We had the vegan ramen & spicy beef, I preferred the vegan option - the broth was just so rich and it’s stuffed with several types of mushrooms. The spicy beef was delicious too, however. It wasn’t too spicy but it did clear out my sinuses! It’s a complicated spice, it’s really very good!We also had the KFC bao buns & poutine. Both were fantastic. I need so much more of this place!!Friendly staff!
