Everything was sooo good. I especially love hand rolls so the tuna one was my favorite thing we got. Not sure where else u can get sukiyaki and it was v comforting on a cold night. Another favorite was the tempura. Also got Roberto special roll, negihamachi roll, along w house salad, soup, and vegetables. And the margaritas, obviously.
January 20 · Vanessa LechThe restaurant staff especially Bonnie went above and beyond for us by wishing my wife a happy birthday. I only just mentioned that it was her birthday. The food is always on point. I had the Sukiyaki that night.I had the Bang bang shrimp was the first time there and it definitely melts in your mouth with a little kick. We will be back.Maybe for my birthday coming up, but we will bring family. They have authentic family rooms (where you have to take your shoes off) for dinner. Make a reservation for that option. They are usually busy, but getting a seat never really has taken too long. Thanks Midori!
January 14 · Daniel Castorena Jr.Midori's the real deal. Came here for dinner, got the spicy tuna roll, dragon roll, and miso soup—sushi was super fresh and cut right. Spent about $30 and it was worth every cent. The vibe inside is cozy, kinda low-key, and perfect for catching up or a chill date night. Staff was friendly but not overbearing. Solid neighborhood sushi spot that doesn’t miss. Definitely coming back.
May 21 · maluh zapantaWe ordered takeout for 4 and it was great! I felt like the prices were more fair than some other places I've been recently. The food was all delicious! The tempura was crispy and perfect and everyone loved it. I had some beef, and it was expertly marinated and tasted delicious. I would like to dine here because the restaurant looks fun and authentic.
April 17 · Ryan KentEverything here is a must try! Between the amazing peaceful atmosphere, the quick and attentive service, delicious food, and the Authentic Japanese dishes you can't find anywhere nearby in the states... It's WELL worth the visit.Agedashi Tofu: Carefully served in multiple dishes. Silky soft fried tofu in a light sauce.Edamame was nice, crispy, and lightly salted to taste.Boston Maki was large, flavorful, and surprisingly light for all the fresh ingredients packed in.Lastly... The Beef Sukiyaki. Absolutely delicious and warm for the body on a cold day of walking around Chicago. You won't find this dish in most Japanese restaurants you go to. But it's worth the trip by itself.Besides the complimentary soup, salad, and unique side dishes... The service was top notch. With multiple waitresses attending to our table to make sure we wanted for nothing, the biggest surprise was the warm towel we received as soon as we sat down. All in all... I would HIGHLY recommend anyone to come try the place out, and make sure to say hi to Bonnie when you're there!
