## Features / Highlights
Miga Sushi in Livingston distinguishes itself within the New Jersey dining scene through several key features and highlights that contribute to its strong appeal and loyal customer base:
- Exceptional All-You-Can-Eat (AYCE) Value: This is the paramount highlight. Customers rave about the "decent AYCE sushi spot" that offers "sooo much variety" for a "reasonable price." The extensive AYCE menu includes a wide range of sushi, sashimi, specialty rolls, and a diverse selection of hot and cold appetizers, ramen, and fried rice, making it an incredible value proposition.
- High Quality Sushi & Sashimi (for AYCE): Despite the AYCE format, the "sushi is always fresh" and "specialty rolls are really good." Patrons appreciate the "fish to rice ratio," indicating a focus on quality even with unlimited servings. This dispels common skepticism about AYCE sushi quality.
- BYOB Policy: The "BYOB" policy is a significant perk for many, allowing diners to bring their preferred beverages and save on drink costs, enhancing the overall affordability and enjoyment of the meal. They even provide ice buckets upon request.
- Extensive Menu Variety: Beyond the core sushi offerings, Miga Sushi provides a broad selection of traditional Japanese dishes, including age tofu (praised as "quite tasty"), udon noodles, steamed buns, pork katsu, and chicken teriyaki. This makes it suitable for groups with diverse preferences.
- Attentive and Efficient Service: Even on "very busy night," the "service is nice and attentive," and "food turnout is pretty quick." This efficiency is crucial for an AYCE restaurant and contributes significantly to a positive customer experience.
- Busy, Lively Atmosphere: While some find it "quite noisy" due to low ceilings and high traffic, the bustling environment indicates popularity and a lively dining scene, especially for those who enjoy a vibrant atmosphere.
- Prominent Plaza Location: Situated in a busy plaza with other popular stores, Miga Sushi benefits from high visibility and convenient access, even if parking can be full at times.
## Promotions or Special Offers
Miga Sushi's most significant and ongoing "special offer" is its highly acclaimed **All-You-Can-Eat (AYCE) sushi and Japanese cuisine menu**. This pricing structure inherently provides exceptional value for New Jersey locals seeking to enjoy a wide variety of high-quality Japanese dishes without the usual limitations of à la carte pricing. The AYCE option for adults is typically around $32.95 (children 4-10 for $16.95), which, considering the extensive selection of sushi, sashimi, specialty rolls, hot and cold appetizers, ramen, and fried rice, is considered a "reasonable price" and "worth it" by many patrons.
Beyond the impressive AYCE value, Miga Sushi also offers:
- BYOB Policy: This is a key benefit that acts as a continuous "special offer." By allowing customers to bring their own alcoholic beverages, it significantly reduces the overall cost of the meal, making a high-quality Japanese dining experience more affordable for everyone. They even provide an ice bucket upon request.
- Extensive AYCE Inclusions: The sheer breadth of the AYCE menu, including not just basic sushi but also specialty rolls, sashimi options, and a wide array of cooked appetizers and main dishes, means diners get to explore a vast culinary landscape for a single price, maximizing their value.
- Lunch AYCE Options: While dinner AYCE is highlighted, Miga Sushi typically offers a separate, often lower-priced, all-you-can-eat option during lunch hours (e.g., Tuesday-Saturday 11:30 AM – 3:30 PM; Sunday 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM), providing even greater affordability for a midday Japanese feast.

Miga Sushi Reviews
We visited Miga Sushi in their Livingston NJ location and thank God we arrived before 6pm. The restaurant has about 15 tables and 8 booths, but the ceilings are incredibly low, so it's quite noisy.Miga is a new restaurant in this location as it was previously occupied by another Japanese restaurant. It's located in a busy plaza, off route 10 and in the same plaza as Aldi, Paris Baguette and a few shops, so the parking lot is very full.I can't say I was overly excited about Miga. Since the restaurant has a AYCE option which many patrons order, it looks like a factory. There are no sushi bar seats, but on this busy Friday night, there were 6 chefs preparing sushi, sashimi and rolls at the bar. The waiters were quite efficient but not overly friendly. The restaurant offers a regular menu in addition to the All You Can Eat but the AYCE fish portions are much much smaller than those on the menu. My husband ordered the AYCE (photo attached) and I had the Chirashi dish which I thought was good. In addition I order the Age tofu which was quite tasty. Not sure I'd return here for dinner - as I said, the place was very loud and it was hard to have a conversation. There is a 5% fee for credit card payments - we paid cash.
Mar 08, 2025 · NBI've been looking for a decent AYCE sushi spot and I think this has to be it. Big fan of their selection and their specialty rolls are really good. I appreciate the fish to rice ratio. I found the fish for the sashimi to be a bit too cold for me, but happy with the sushi/nigiri and the rolls. Its also BYOB and they don't take reservations so make sure you get there at a decent time otherwise there will be a wait. We arrived 6:30pm on a Friday night and we're able to be seated immediately at the sushi bar because there was just 2 of us. But if you have a larger group, it will be tougher. It looked like around 7pm is when it really started getting packed. Love that it's also BYOB. They'll provide an ice bucket upon request. Green tea is $2.50 each but they bring you a tea pot. Otherwise everything is truly AYCE. The service is nice and attentive which always is a question when it comes to these places. Food turnout is pretty quick too even on a very busy night. Price is reasonable as well.
Jan 14, 2025 · Jocelyn LeeDelicious, fresh sushi and great service. I love this made to order, all you can eat sushi place. I’ve been here twice and both times the sushi has been fresh and delicious! The staff is very attentive. I love coming here!
Nov 12, 2024 · Carla CedenoOrdered take out but service was great and the food tasted amazing. Price is amazing for how much food we ordered.
Mar 30, 2025 · Andy PhuongServer was super nice, but the oil used for the food was old, especially since they just opened up? For the day I would suggest to use fresh oil for the food every day, i will not be returning.
