Mikiya Wagyu Shabu House | Santa Clara Introduce
In the vibrant culinary landscape of Santa Clara, Mikiya Wagyu Shabu House stands out as a premier destination for an authentic and luxurious Japanese hotpot experience. While its name might not immediately suggest a connection to a "Doctor Near Me" platform, the analogy here is quite fitting. Just as a doctor provides specialized care for your well-being, Mikiya Wagyu Shabu House offers a meticulously curated dining experience designed to cater to your culinary desires with precision and high-quality ingredients, ensuring a truly satisfying and memorable "treatment" for your taste buds. Located at 3590 Homestead Rd, Santa Clara, CA 95051, USA, this restaurant promises a distinct and indulgent journey into the world of Japanese shabu-shabu.
Upon stepping into Mikiya Wagyu Shabu House, guests are greeted by an ambiance that aims for both comfort and sophistication, setting the stage for a premium dining experience. While specific details regarding the interior decor are not extensively provided in the reviews, the nature of a high-end hotpot establishment typically implies a clean, well-maintained, and perhaps minimalist aesthetic, allowing the focus to remain on the quality of the food and the communal cooking experience. The goal is likely to create a serene environment where diners can relax and savor their meal, making it an ideal spot for special occasions, business dinners, or simply an elevated everyday meal.
The core service at Mikiya Wagyu Shabu House revolves around its exceptional shabu-shabu offerings, with a particular emphasis on premium Wagyu beef. The concept of shabu-shabu involves thinly sliced meats and fresh vegetables cooked briefly in a simmering pot of broth at your table, allowing for a personalized and interactive dining experience. This interactive element is a key feature, encouraging diners to engage with their meal and customize each bite to their preference. The staff is generally attentive, guiding first-time visitors through the process and ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience, as evidenced by a reviewer who initially felt "a little lost" but eventually discovered the full array of options available.
One of the standout features of Mikiya Wagyu Shabu House, consistently highlighted by patrons, is its unparalleled selection of A5 Wagyu. This is not just any beef; A5 Wagyu is the highest grade of Japanese beef, renowned for its intense marbling, tenderness, and rich flavor. Customers rave about it being the "Best A5 wagyu hotpot in the bay," a testament to the restaurant's commitment to sourcing top-tier ingredients. For those seeking the ultimate indulgence, the "gold package" comes highly recommended by a seasoned diner, who notes its superiority over the "silver" package and its ability to capture all the best elements of the "platinum" offering, suggesting a perfect balance of quality and value within their tiered menu system.
Beyond the exquisite beef, Mikiya Wagyu Shabu House also offers a high-class seafood selection. While beef appears to be the main draw for many, the availability of premium seafood broadens the appeal, catering to different preferences and allowing for a diverse hotpot experience. This variety underscores the restaurant's dedication to providing a comprehensive premium offering.
The choice of broth is another crucial element that significantly impacts the shabu-shabu experience. According to customer feedback, the sukiyaki broth base is a strong recommendation, praised for its rich flavor that enhances the taste of the meats and vegetables. In contrast, the "lighter house broth" was noted as having "no flavor really," indicating the importance of selecting the right base to fully appreciate the ingredients. This insight is invaluable for new visitors, guiding them towards a more satisfying culinary journey.
Promotional information, such as happy hour deals, adds significant value to the Mikiya Wagyu Shabu House experience. One reviewer enthusiastically noted, "Came in during happy hour and it was so worth it!" This suggests that happy hour at Mikiya presents an excellent opportunity to enjoy their premium offerings at a more accessible price point, making a luxurious dining experience more attainable for a wider audience. Such promotions are a fantastic way to attract new customers and encourage repeat visits.
While the overall experience at Mikiya Wagyu Shabu House is overwhelmingly positive, some minor points have been raised by customers. The 90-minute dining limit for a "premium $$$ dining experience" was felt to be "a little bit rush" by one patron. This suggests that while the restaurant aims for efficiency, some diners might prefer a more leisurely pace to fully savor their meal, especially given the cost and quality of the ingredients. Another minor concern pertained to the large size of the stove under the table, which could affect legroom and seating comfort. These are relatively minor issues, however, and do not detract significantly from the overall high praise for the food quality.
To round off the meal, Mikiya Wagyu Shabu House offers delightful dessert options. The "passion fruit/guava drinks and strawberry/black sesame ice cream" were highlighted as the perfect conclusion to the meal, providing a refreshing and sweet finish. This attention to detail, from the appetizers to the desserts, ensures a complete and satisfying dining experience.
For local users searching for a premium dining experience under a category like "Doctor Near Me," Mikiya Wagyu Shabu House offers a compelling proposition. It provides a specialized, high-quality culinary "treatment" for those with a refined palate, delivering expertly prepared, top-grade ingredients in a comfortable setting. The phone number for reservations or inquiries is (408) 689-6244 or +1 408-689-6244. Whether you're a connoisseur of Japanese cuisine or looking to try A5 Wagyu shabu-shabu for the first time, Mikiya Wagyu Shabu House in Santa Clara promises an unforgettable and indeed, therapeutic, culinary journey.

Best A5 wagyu hotpot in the bay.I recommend you to choose gold package.Since it’s better than Silver, and it is still get all good part from platinum.Sea food is high class as well, but I like beef more.Only two small problems.1. 90 min is a little bit rush for $$$ dinning experience.2. The stove under the table is huge, so no room for leg, which will affect your seating position.
Mar 02, 2025 · George ChangCame in during happy hour and it was so worth it! Best meat I've had in a while because the wagyu is just so good! As it was my first time I was a little lost in how I was supposed to eat all this😅I chose the sukiyaki and house broth base but before I had thought this would be similar to k-bbq. It wasn't until I was halfway done with the meat that I even realized that there was an additional area to grab vegetables and udon. Definitely recommend the sukiyaki base because the lighter house broth had no flavor really. The right base made everything else taste so good, loved the udon and mushrooms with the meat together. It just made it so good! The passion fruit/ guava drinks and strawberry/ black sesame ice cream hit just the spot to tidy me over 🤤🤗
Apr 03, 2025 · Kira DeAIt’s our first time coming here, and I think I’ve found my new favorite restaurant! The quality of the meat and seafood were amazing, even if you just get the silver set. For everything you get, the price is super reasonable. Our waiter’s name was Derek, and he was quick, efficient, and friendly! Thanks for a great first experience. Definitely will be back again.
Jan 06, 2025 · Louie Angeles ChanVery well maintained (attentive staffs) and the quality of meats was above expectation. They do offer some special dishes and we got the wagyu nigiri (sushi) so that was positive. Their free drink bar (incl not only soft drinks but also milk tea and mango juice) was a cherry on top! Would recommend making a reservation in advance, otherwise the wait will be long.
Apr 20, 2025 · Eugene ChoiThis is a restaurant we consider a once-a-year treat due to its relatively high price point. This was our second visit, and the restaurant offers three pricing tiers. Since we’re not big fans of seafood, we opted for the middle-tier option.I recommend ordering the meat slices gradually, as the non-frozen cuts tend to break apart easily due to how thinly they’re sliced. This slightly affects the texture, but the overall quality of the meat is excellent—tender, rich in marbling, and a true delight for Wagyu enthusiasts. The side dishes are self-serve and can be replenished as needed, though the selection is somewhat limited. One thing to note: if you visit during winter, the all-you-can-eat Häagen-Dazs option might not be available. Unfortunately, it wasn’t offered this time, unlike our last visit, which was a slight disappointment.Overall, this is a high-end restaurant worth visiting occasionally to indulge yourself, and it’s definitely an experience to savor.
