Miko Plainview - Sushi & Hibachi Reviews
Updated - They have two options for their noodles and fried rice: side or regular portion. The regular portion comes with squash and vegetables which my kids didn’t like and neither did I. The side rice just came with egg and we actually like that more; same goes for the noodles - the side plain one was the preferred one at our table. Their rock shrimp was popular with my kids. I loved their volcano specialty roll but if you can’t handle spicy - don’t get it; there’s jalapeños inside as well as one on top. The udon noodles were not so great and we won’t get it again - too bland. I definitely recommend the sake affogato which comes with green tea ice cream - it’s very strong and very delicious; the combination with the green tea flavor really enhances the dessert.Update -Always an enjoyable trip. Their hibachi egg noodles (9/10) never fail my kids; their pomegranate- tini and lychee tini are my staple drinks there. We tried the seafood trio (9/10) for the first time and I have to say albeit the pricey cost - it was well worth it - the scallops and seasoning were on point.Service is always great and consistent.
Dec 29, 2024 · hemmy choWe got to this restaurant and sat down at 6:30pm. The chef didn't come to us to start cooking until 7:30, we were waiting for a whole hour before we can even get the food started. That wasn't what got our group upset. The chef we got didn’t do any tricks besides the egg bounce and volcano. No sake, no vegetable toss, no "fun" with the food. I thought that was the norm for this particular Hibachi restaurant, however, the other chefs around us were giving the full show to the other tables. The food was good, so that was great but the thing that got our group very upset was the fact that they literally stopped us at the door to ask us to tip. After that service, you do not deserve a tip. An hour for food (fine I can understand that), but you didn't preform the full show that other tables were receiving and still expected a tip for that bare minimum show. Overall, tipping is optional, which I always tip where I go, but your service sucked for lack of better words, and the servers stopping us on the way out the door to demand a tip was not acceptable.
May 26, 2025 · Kimi JaikaranHello everyone! I’m a very respected culinary professional in Minnesota, I came here visiting family and I must say I am extremely and brutally disappointed…😡 first off, my shrimp was ice cold! My fiance ordered noodles but was given fried rice 😡 I also ordered an extra side of noodles and they were RAW!!! 😡 absolutely despicable service as well, it’s like we were invisible. I had one drink and was quenched the whole time because nobody to ask if I wanted another. 🥲 long story short, if you’re looking to be treated like trash and acquire mediocre food, this is the spot for you!! 🤣🤣P.S. we WONT be coming back 😒
May 29, 2025 · Christian J HockeyHave gone here for lunch a few times and was always satisfied.Pokebowls are great bec. can make your own: pick the proteins (2 or 3), rice (choice from 3, I prefer their black rice), toppings, crunch and sauce (I ask on the side).Lunch hibachi has good prices with multiple protein and rice choices. My choice is usually their angus strip steak with soup (clear, mushroom) or salad, vegetables and fried rice (included). Their portion is perfect for me.On our first hibachi experience here, the chef was quiet but cooked perfectly. At our most recent visit, our chef was entertaining but meat temps were a little off, ie medium rare was given medium, etc. The chefs have listened to requests though so flavors has been good.Miko is located in a strip mall with ample parking. Modern design, dim lighting, very nice. Bar and table seating towards the front (calmer atmosphere) and hibachi tables in the back room (more activity). Service has been great. Multiple clean restrooms.
Aug 11, 2024 · K VCBeautiful decor and relaxed atmosphere. I love the poke bowel and the option to choose lettuce as base (rather than rice) and fully customize your meal. There are many options for carb-conscious people. The environment is clean and service is fast.
