As an upscale restaurant within The St. Regis Hotel, Miru's promotions often lean towards unique culinary experiences or seasonal events rather than frequent discounts. However, there are notable opportunities for Illinois locals to experience their offerings:
- **"Yatai" - Japanese Street Food and Beer Garden:** This special event transforms the St. Regis Terrace into a vibrant Japanese "Yatai" (street food stall). For a prepaid price per person (e.g., $98.00 plus tax and service fee for an upcoming event), guests can experience "vibrant flavors and rich traditions of Japanese street food," including grilled A5 Wagyu yakitori, a kampachi handroll station, made-to-order okonomiyaki, and a curated selection of Japanese beer, wine, sake, and signature cocktails. These are typically one-off or seasonal events, so checking their website for dates is crucial.
- Seasonal Brunch Events: As highlighted by customer reviews, Miru offers exceptional buffet-style brunches, often tied to holidays like Mother's Day, which are ticketed events at a set price per person (e.g., $125.00 for adults, $65.00 for children under ten, plus tax and service fee), sometimes including a complimentary drink.
- Happy Hour (Bar/Lounge): While not explicitly listed as a typical "happy hour" on their main menu, Miru's bar/lounge is open in the afternoons (Mon, Tue, Sun 2:00 PM–5:00 PM) and may offer an abbreviated bar menu. Inquire directly about any specific happy hour pricing on drinks or small bites during these hours.
- Afternoon Tea Service: Expected to be launched on Saturdays and Sundays from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM, this will be a signature St. Regis experience featuring hand-selected teas and likely a curated menu of bites for a set price.
For the most current information on special events, seasonal menus, and any unique promotions, Illinois residents are encouraged to visit Miru's official website or contact them directly via phone.

Mar 16, 2025 · Lisette JohnFantastic food and a great experience with the view. I would recommend their burger, king crab rice crisps, and most importantly, the Black sesame, charcoal vanilla, and mochi ice cream for dessert. The burger is not greasy, and I really like it that way.The avocado toast is classic and simple, and so you won't go wrong with this choice.Spicy salmon maki also tasted great.Overall, I highly recommend this place for service, hospitality, ambiance, view, and the food.
May 04, 2025 · Hannah IAll in all a great experience for a special occasion. Ordered a bunch of items to try and nothing was a miss.Standout items:Triple tuna maki 🍣 - My favorite sushi roll I’ve ever had. A must try for any tuna lover.Crispy pork fried rice 🍚 - Our whole table agreed this was a banger. Unique fried rice, had a risotto-like consistency, which was a totally unique experience. Also might be the greatest fried rice I’ve ever had.We sat indoors, and to get the whole experience Miru has to offer, you should probably reserve an outdoor table to take in the city views. Clearly a high price point here, but felt the food was plenty special to justify the splurge.
May 19, 2025 · KyleI recently had the pleasure of dining at Miru during Restaurant Week 2025, and I can confidently say it lived up to all the rave reviews I had heard! From the moment I stepped in, the ambiance was inviting, making it the perfect setting for an unforgettable meal.We opted for the prix fixe menu, and it was an incredible journey of flavors. The grilled edamame seasoned with seven spices was nothing short of amazing—I'm still thinking about it days later! It’s one of those dishes that has spoiled me for anything else.Next up was the Miru Tamaki Sushi, which was a delightful surprise. I loved the interactive experience of making our own hand rolls—it added a fun twist to our meal. This was my first time trying tamaki sushi, and I'm officially hooked! I sincerely hope this becomes a permanent item on their menu. For the main course, the miso black cod was cooked to perfection. Paired with the Wild Mushroom Sizzling Rice, it was an extraordinary combination that I can still taste in my memories. To top it all off, we indulged in a coconut and mango dessert that was simply delicious—a sweet finale that left us smiling.Overall, the experience at Miru was remarkable, and it’s clearly a restaurant that deserves all the hype it’s getting. This has easily become my favorite new spot of the year, and I can’t wait to return for another amazing meal!
Mar 09, 2025 · Antonio EstradaWe sat in the main restaurant which had a bit quieter atmosphere versus the bar area, but allowed us to talk normally without yelling and we had enough music from the other room. We liked structure of their menu and tried different foods - highly recommend duck yakisoba, spicy bluefin tuna, salmon nigiri. I prefer simple rolls hence triple tuna was overwhelming for me. The cocktails were good but a bit too sweet to my taste. Overall it is pricey but worth the views and ambience on a special occasion.
