Our visit to Miyaki Sushi and Grill was underwhelming. The food was mediocre overall, with each dish falling short of expectations. The miso soup was particularly disappointing, as it lacked the rich, savory umami flavor that comes from a proper dashi base, making it taste bland and uninspired. The Unagi Don was passable, mainly because it’s hard to go wrong with teriyaki sauce, but the unagi itself was a letdown—it wasn’t firm, which took away from the texture and overall enjoyment of the dish.The bulgogi was another miss. It tasted bland and lacked the bold, savory flavors you’d expect. Even after asking for sesame seeds to enhance it, the dish still felt flat and uninspired.The service was decent—nothing to rave about, but no significant complaints either. The restaurant itself was averagely clean, which didn’t leave a strong impression one way or another.Overall, the experience was lackluster. While it wasn’t entirely bad, there’s a lot of room for improvement, especially in terms of food quality and flavor.

Looking for some special foods for Birthday dinners. Sushis and Hibachi noodles. Have to say I needed to check my order since I had so much. Left with half of it and had to go back. My fault not theirs. Definitely ate good and worth 2 trips.

There is a huge shortage of good Korean food in Williamsburg. Believe it or not Miyaki sushi makes the most authentic pork bulgogi I have found since moving to Virginia. Will have to try the Galbi next time. Their sushi was great too

The food was delicious and the service was excellent! The hibachi chef is a singing chef and does tricks as well. Young ladies get our drink and food order, they serve the beverages, salad and miso soup. The chef cooks the food and serves the food, yum yum sauce and or soy sauce etc. The chef is down to Earth and interacts well with children and adults.5 months prior, my review was:The hibachi food grilled in front of you is always good, service is usually excellent and the bathrooms are not the best. The (lady) owner always comes out to speak to us. Sometimes, we have to wait for hibachi food and service because there is usually 1 or 2 cooks. The yum yum sauce is delicious, the salad is okay and the miso soup is not the best!6 years prior, my review was:Wow, excellent food and service today. No paper towels in bathroom, asked for towel after I got out of bathroom, they gave me paper towels to dry my hands, we spilled drink, same guy cleaned up, and the chef, Alex, was good, did as I asked, no tricks, just fix us the meal please, he did that and the food was excellent!

Honestly the 4 stars is just because the chef and food was good and great flavor we had hibachi , BUT !! who wants to wait 30 minutes after bein sitting and having a reservation to be taking your drinks order ?? The server was so short , we had 2 shellfish allergies guest and she never asked anything , we try talking to her but she was short and always running aroundI get it it's Saturday night , they're busy but honestly the management needs to put more effort on costumer serviceIf you decide to visit the place , be patient and ne ready for a long wait but tasteful food.
