Okay food..sloppy service and noisy ambiance. We reserved for 8 pm..arrived on time..got seated 8.30 and the first drink landed on the table at 9 pm. Food was good but not great. We didn’t like the service at all. The receptionist was not welcoming and the waiter , despite being friendly, couldn’t explain the dishes.

Cucumber roll appetizer and radish salad were winners once again. I personally love the vegan tasting menu. Fresh ingredients, perfect bites. We split the enormous 12 layer carrot cake for dessert and brought most of it home. The cake was spectacular. Service was great. Bathroom is clean and toilet is hella fancy! Looking forward to coming back again soon.

Based on the menu, I think the sushi is a bit overpriced, but happy hour is always a good deal.I tried the Juiced Lychee IPA, which was really good—you can definitely taste the lychee in the aftertaste. My friend had the Raspberry Rose, but it was too tart for me. I also had the Sour Watermelon Saison, which was supposed to taste like a watermelon Jolly Rancher, but it didn’t. However, the pickled watermelon rind flavor stood out.Of course, we had to try the caviar bump for $15, served on a wooden spoon. We also ordered two happy hour hand rolls, the spicy scallop and spicy tuna, priced at $12 each. They were fresh and pretty good.Overall, I’d come back just for the happy hour.

A lot of the beers have a fruit in their title or making which usually causes me to steer clear, but none I tried were gimickally fruity. The cherry lambic and lychee IPA were as exquisite and Je ne sais quoi as a fine glass of natural wine. Even the simple Pilsner was one of the best I’ve had. Not to mention the splendid array of beer-specific glassware! And to top it off you get to pair all of that with top notch sushi. The rolls are deliciously and delicately designed and the new flavors just compete with the wonderful texture of everything. I also enjoyed the surprising cucumber salad (not what you think) with chili crisp, the warm mushroom salad, the hamachi crudo, the tuna roll (best I’ve had), salmon roll, and scallop corn roll. Will be back to try the nigiri, but from afar it looked wonderfully presented. I got the berry Sunday for desert and after that I was a very happy camper. Bartender Juan was great and took his time to introduce me to the beer selection. His recommendations were excellent. Beautiful ambiance and calm even on a Friday night. Can’t wait to return to try everything I didn’t get to.
