Specific, ongoing promotions for Mori Sushi, beyond general competitive pricing for Newport, are not extensively detailed in the provided information. However, based on common practices for restaurants of this type in popular areas:
- Parking Validation: While not a food discount, the offer of up to two hours of validation for the main paid parking lot is a significant value-add for customers, helping to offset the cost of parking in Newport, which can be a considerable expense.
- Competitive Pricing (for Newport): As noted by a customer, sushi in Newport is generally "not cheap." However, Mori Sushi is considered by many to offer good value for the quality provided, making it competitively priced within the local market.
- Lunch Specials: Many Japanese restaurants offer specific lunch specials during weekday hours (e.g., Bento Boxes, smaller sushi combos, or noodle dishes at reduced prices). While not explicitly highlighted in the reviews, it's worth checking directly with Mori Sushi for any current lunch promotions they may have. Their online menu does show Bento Box, Sushi Bar, and Hibachi Lunch specials available from Monday to Friday (11:30 AM to 3:00 PM).

Mori Sushi Reviews
I enjoyed this spot. I usually get my sushi from somewhere else, but I will add this place to my list of places to buy from. The gyoza was good. It came out hot and it was crunchy. It had good flavor and came with a little sauce. The California Roll was also good. An order comes with h six. The Chicken Yakisoba was also good. I think it was flavored well and had a bit of a kick. The atmosphere was nice. It was nicely decorated and looks like a good place to just grab food or go on a date. There is a place to sit where you can see them make the sushi. The staff was friendly. I really like the fact that my server asked if me and my friends wanted toSplit the check or keep it as one. This is just one of those little things that helps make your experience better. The main parking lot is paid, but they do up to two hours of validation. There is free street parking not too far. During the summer, you might have difficulty finding free street parking.
Mar 19, 2025 · Tchanavia BryantGood sushi, not cheap of course, it being Newport. Atmosphere: booths and tables all a little too close together. Place was not crowded when we came in, but you could see that people seated in the main area had almost no separation space from table to table. Booths not too comfy. This place seems intent on moving you along expeditiously in your sushi quest. Has soju. Server was nice whenever we saw her. It seemed like she was handling the whole place on her own at that hour, a little past the usual time for lunch.
May 17, 2025 · Heather PrestonSuper fresh and delicious sushi! We had several different types of rolls and each was well prepared and fresh. The service was great and the restaurant was clean with appealing decor. I highly recommend eating here if you want top notch sushi!
Feb 23, 2025 · Brendan BoschGreat sushi, very fresh and good quality with fair prices. Christian was our server and he was amazing! Very welcoming and attended to every need. 10/10!
May 03, 2025 · Yasmine LariosVisited one evening for dinner while in town for a few days and was not disappointed! I made a reservation prior to showing up and the staff was attentive despite having to wait a while at the front to be seated-not because they were full but because no one came, although there were lots of staff about.Despite being pregnant and unable to enjoy my favorite sushi, I'm still thinking about the vegetable udon noodles I had here. The noodle texture was perfection and the veggies were crispy just the way I prefer! My husband ordered sushi & was impressed by how fresh it tasted. I'd say the prices were comparable to NYC sushi restaurants which was unexpected for a RI restaurant. We also ordered the veggie fried rice to try- which was just ok and a bit bland. The spicy yakitori app was pretty tasty but only 2 skewers for $9+ isn't the best deal. Not sure if I'd visit again but definitely somewhere I'd recommend trying.
