Operating with a focus on convenience, Mr. Teddy Baker aims to deliver a satisfying experience, particularly for fans of these rich, savory sandwiches.
Mr. Teddy Baker has gained attention for its signature beef gyu katsu sando, a dish that has captured the curiosity of many in California. While experiences can vary, the restaurant endeavors to provide a memorable take on this beloved Japanese comfort food, making it accessible for takeout and delivery in the bustling West Los Angeles area. For locals looking for a quick yet substantial meal with a unique Japanese flair, Mr. Teddy Baker presents an intriguing option.
Mr. Teddy Baker is located at 11419 Santa Monica Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90025, USA. This address places it squarely on Santa Monica Boulevard, a significant and well-trafficked thoroughfare in West Los Angeles. Its location provides geographical accessibility to a broad demographic of residents and businesses across areas like Brentwood, Sawtelle, and other parts of West LA.
Operating primarily as a cloud kitchen or a similar delivery-focused model, the physical address serves as the preparation and dispatch point. This means that direct accessibility is largely facilitated through online ordering and delivery services. For customers who prefer to pick up their orders, the Santa Monica Boulevard location offers a straightforward collection point, though traditional dine-in facilities might not be available. The emphasis on delivery and takeout mitigates common Los Angeles challenges like parking, making it a convenient option for a quick meal.
Mr. Teddy Baker primarily focuses on providing a streamlined and convenient experience for enjoying their specialized Japanese-inspired sandwiches and sides. Their service model is geared towards efficiency and accessibility:
Online Ordering and Delivery: The core service model involves online ordering through popular food delivery platforms like DoorDash. This allows customers across Los Angeles to conveniently order their desired items and have them delivered directly to their location.
Takeout/Pickup: Customers also have the option to place orders for pickup directly from the Santa Monica Boulevard location, providing an alternative for those in the immediate vicinity or who prefer to collect their food themselves.
Signature Katsu Sandos: The main highlight of the menu is their variety of katsu sandos, which are Japanese-style sandwiches made with fluffy Japanese milk bread. Options include:
BEEF GYU KATSU SANDO: Featuring deep-fried beef tenderloin coated in panko breadcrumbs, accompanied by arugula, garlic mayo, and tomato sauce.
CHICKEN KATSU SANDO: Tender, juicy, golden-breaded chicken breast with tangy tonkatsu sauce, marinated green cabbage, and garlic mayo.
PORK KATSU SANDO: Succulent breaded pork cutlet with tonkatsu sauce, marinated green cabbage, and mustard garlic mayo.
CHICKEN SUPREME KATSU SANDO: An enhanced chicken katsu sando with original spicy sauce, American cheese, pickles, and garlic mayo, described as a "Chef's favorite."
Value Combos: To offer a complete meal, Mr. Teddy Baker provides "Classic Sando Combo" options. These combos pair a katsu sando with a choice of sides (French fries, golden tater tots, or croissant sticks) and a refreshing soda (Coke, Diet Coke, 7UP, or Fresca), designed for a satisfying lunch or casual meal.
Sides and Beverages: Complementary sides are available, including French fries and unique "Croissant sticks flavored with cinnamon sugar." A selection of fountain drinks is also offered.
Mr. Teddy Baker distinguishes itself in the Los Angeles food scene with a few key features that appeal to its target audience:
Specialization in Katsu Sandos: The restaurant's primary focus on katsu sandos is a major highlight. This niche specialization allows them to concentrate on perfecting these popular Japanese-inspired sandwiches, offering a unique product that stands out from typical Japanese restaurant fare.
"Melt-in-Your-Mouth" Beef Gyu Katsu Sando (for some customers): One enthusiastic customer review specifically praises the beef katsu sando as "the bomb!" highlighting its "generous cut of beef cooked perfectly, very very tender, melt in your mouth," accompanied by the "right amount of mayo, sauce and arugula." This indicates the potential for a truly exceptional culinary experience when the dish is executed to perfection.
Use of Japanese Milk Bread: All sandos are made with "soft, fluffy Japanese milk bread," which is a key component of an authentic katsu sando, contributing to its unique texture and appeal.
Variety of Katsu Options: Beyond beef, Mr. Teddy Baker offers chicken and pork katsu sandos, providing options for different preferences and ensuring there's a katsu for everyone.
Convenient Combo Meals: The availability of combos that include a sando, side, and drink makes ordering easy and offers a complete meal solution, which is highly convenient for quick lunches or dinners.
Direct Accessibility via Delivery Platforms: As a modern cloud kitchen, its strength lies in its integration with popular delivery apps, providing effortless access to their menu from anywhere in their service radius.
Based on the provided information, Mr. Teddy Baker does not explicitly list traditional, ongoing "promotions" or "special offers" in the way a sit-down restaurant might (e.g., happy hour, daily discounts). However, their operational model and menu structure inherently offer certain value propositions that could be considered ongoing benefits:
Value Combos: Their menu prominently features "VALUE COMBOS" such as the "GYU KATSU COMBO," "PORK KATSU COMBO," and "CHICKEN KATSU COMBO." These bundles include a sando, a choice of side (French fries, golden tater tots, or croissant sticks), and a drink (Coke, Diet Coke, 7UP), providing a complete meal at a set price. This bundling often offers a better overall price compared to purchasing items individually, functioning as a regular special.
Direct Ordering via Delivery Apps for Convenience: While not a discount, the convenience of easily ordering through major delivery platforms is a significant draw in Los Angeles, simplifying the process of getting a quick meal.
For any potential limited-time offers, seasonal additions, or platform-specific discounts, it is always recommended for interested customers to:
Check Mr. Teddy Baker's listings directly on popular food delivery apps (DoorDash, Uber Eats, etc.) as these platforms frequently feature rotating promotions.
Look for any official website or social media presence they might have, where specific deals or new menu items could be announced.
While a phone number isn't explicitly provided for this location in the initial information, if one becomes available, it could be used for direct inquiries.

Mr. Teddy Baker Reviews
So worth it!!! Don't listen to the negative nancy!! This is the bomb! The beef katsu sando was awesome!! Generous cut of beef cooked perfectly, very very tender, melt in your mouth! This was accompanied with the right amount of mayo, sauce and arugula. It was perfect!! 💗💗
Sep 01, 2024 · Linen SantisakultarmSurely you've seen photos of the nearly $20 Beef Gyu Katsu sandwich. That's what got my attention. Anyway, ordered that sandwich. This boiled shoe leather is what I got. Should've known better, Theodore Baker doesn't seem like a Japanese name.
May 20, 2024 · William TranWas sucked in by the amazing photo of the beef katsu sandwich. Man, that photo looks amazing. They show a thinly breaded, perfectly cooked thick slice of beef with a dollop of sauce on a bed of greens. What you actually get is a thin slice of overcooked meat with breading about as thick as the meat. Seriously disappointing.
Dec 21, 2024 · Jeff PThis place is amazing! The square croissant is unbelievably good. The beef katsu sandwich is mouth watering. DO NOT listen to the negative reviews. You’ve gotta try both those items. I found this place from IG. Tried it and was very impressed. Was shocked when I saw the low rating.
Jun 05, 2024 · Prasad RomijnFinally, the beloved croissant cube came to Sawtelle. It’s dangerously good and I hate that I can’t loose weight!ðŸ˜
