Nagoya Sushi Bar and Japanese Steak House Reviews
I hate hate HATE writing this review.... but unfortunately as a regular whos ordered thousands of dollars from here over the years I must. I am never one to talk down to a small business online but as someone whos eaten from here for years something needs to be said. I've ordered / eaten table side four times since the new year. Something has changed. For a 50$++ per person entrée the quality and portions are just not the same. The fillet in the fillet and Shrimp combo is very obviously sirloin or another cheaper cut and the portions amount to less then 2 oz which is just absurd. The shrimp have a heavy fishy smell to them and just taste off. The quality of the ingredients have just gone down hill and the pricing only goes up. I understand changes to food cost, I understand raising prices to keep up and I don't mind paying a premium for a premium meal, but do not charge your loyal patrons higher prices for lower quality product. As a saving grace the service is always top notch and I enjoy the atmosphere of dinning in. Something needs to change, I will not keep giving chances and paying 150$+ for a dinner for me and my partner to just keep getting let down. I hope this is taken in a positive manor by ownership and changes are made because I enjoy coming here and ordering out when I feel the need to treat myself and I know I'm not alone.
Apr 24, 2025 · AtlasReach 24I gave it another try and it was a disappointment again. They keep raising their prices on the menu and the quality of the food is very poor. The portions of steak or any other meat are smaller and smaller. The oil they cook with is really bad. You can taste it in everything they cook for you. It’s very obvious that they are trying hard to reduce costs by using the cheapest ingredients and reducing the size of portions. We won’t be back. The menu is tricky bc it says that fried rice is include but it’s not. They charge you for every single fried rice you order even though the menu says (salad, soup, vegetables and steam or fried rice included). Go to steak house you will spend the same and get better food. I wanted to support this business but they don’t do a good job. Sorry!
Dec 16, 2024 · Nikki SWe arived for our reservation with 3 adults and a child and had to wait for the other 2 before we could get seated. Which typically I can undsrstand not seating incomplete parties, but they had plenty of space and we had a kid that any good server/manager would try to accommodate if possible and we would have started ordering drinks and apps. Then when we ordered we noticed the menu said hibachi came with steamed or fried rice, but then on a separate line it said fried rice with entree was $4. I've never seen this at any Hibachi place, especially when the chicken dish is already $24 which wasn't anything special. Then when it was time to pay, they ran our cards to split 3 ways and didn't return the original receipt. We had to ask for it to see if gratuity was included or not. That's when we realized we were over charged $98 and they had to void the additional cost. We still tipped 20% despite our better judgement, but we wouldn't come back here or recommend it.The only positive is the Hibachi grill worker was entertaining and kind and service throughout the meal was prompt.
Dec 15, 2024 · Rebecca BrayI had 2 rolls as well as sake. I loved the presentation and I felt welcome as soon as I came into the restaurant. I enjoyed the atmosphere and felt like I was taken care of by the staff. Wonderful visit and I will come back for more sushi. Will also have to try their hibachi next time.
Feb 06, 2021 · Daniel LeeAlways a good time, always a lot of delicious food, and always some yummy leftovers to take home afterwards. The chefs are all very entertaining and have lots of tricks up their sleeves. Well worth the time invested. Bring the kids!
