Nami Nori West Village Introduce
In the bustling culinary landscape of New York City, Nami Nori stands out as a unique and refreshing destination for Japanese cuisine. Located in the charming West Village, this restaurant has quickly become a local favorite and a must-visit for tourists, redefining the sushi experience with its specialization in open-style temaki, or hand rolls. Founded by three alums of the prestigious 3-Michelin-star restaurant Masa, Nami Nori brings a fine-dining level of quality and creativity to a more casual and accessible format. The mission is simple: to offer high-quality, delicious food in a relaxed and inviting setting. The result is a place that feels both trendy and cozy, perfect for a wide range of occasions.
Nami Nori's concept is built around the idea of "sushi tacos," where fresh seafood and warm, seasoned rice are served on crisp, toasted nori seaweed. This open-style format not only makes for a visually appealing presentation but also allows for a delightful combination of textures and flavors in every bite. The menu features a variety of signature temaki sets, including the popular "Signature Set" and a well-thought-out "Vegan Set," catering to different dietary preferences. Beyond the hand rolls, the menu includes a selection of creative appetizers, such as the "Spicy Tuna Dip" and "Mochurros" for dessert. The attention to detail is evident in every aspect, from the perfectly seasoned rice to the quality of the fish, which customers describe as so fresh it "practically melts in our mouths." The beverage program is equally impressive, with a curated list of sake, Japanese-inspired cocktails, and local beers, completing a truly exceptional dining experience.
Nami Nori West Village is located at 33 Carmine St, New York, NY 10014, USA. Nami Nori is also committed to accessibility, offering a wheelchair-accessible entrance and wheelchair-accessible seating to ensure a comfortable experience for all guests. The building's bright and airy design, which evokes a modern beach house, provides a calm respite from the energetic streets of the city.

Nami Nori West Village Reviews
One of the best sushi places in my opinion. Ate here plenty of times and could never get tired of the food! Surprisingly very, very filling, would 100% recommend. Always end up craving the hand rolls here! Appetizers are also delicious, worth ordering as well.
April 15 · Tater TotsNami Nori is truly beyond amazing! Every sushi we had was incredible—the flavors were outstanding, and the fish was so fresh it practically melted in our mouths. The quality and attention to detail in every bite were top-notch.The service was equally impressive—attentive, friendly, and efficient, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. The atmosphere was adorable, creating the perfect setting for a delightful meal. The only small downside is that, while they offer an omakase-style experience, I wish the seating was a bit more comfortable. Other than that, everything was exceptional. Highly recommend for sushi lovers!
February 27 · Lina MI got a tofu chimichuri, tempura sweet potato, coconut shrimp, spicy tuna, and california roll. Everything looked really pretty and was generally very good! The sweet potato was a bit bland so I wouldnt get that again. Everything else was very good! Seaweed was nice and crisp and the toppings were fun and good. My favorite of the 5 was the tofu chimichuri
April 18 · Carter WalshCame here for lunch one Saturday and I loved it! The interior of the restaurant was bright, clean, and busy. And since the day that I came on was sunny, they opened up their patio and it was a great vibe to dine at for brunch. Service here was pretty quick and friendly.I got their spicy tuna dip and their signature temaki set. Everything was delicious. I loved their spicy tuna dip and it came with so much tuna (they had to give us more crackers to finish it). Each of the pieces in the temaki set was also delicious, and a favorite was the XO scallop and the cucumber black sesame (surprisingly). I would love to come back here some time and try their al carte menu!
March 26 · Mia HuynhGreat place to get hand rolls in New York. After it was all said and done, I was a little bit underwhelmed with the food. The flavors weren’t as authentic as I would have liked, and the quality of the rolls could have been better in my opinion. One thing I would say is the service was good as they couldn’t get a table for our reservation so they offered drinks and an appetizer. My favorite roll actually happens to be the avocado roll. I wasn’t a huge fan of the lobster or crab roll. Maybe I’ll come back and give it another try.
