Nobu Del Coronado, as a luxury dining establishment within a prestigious hotel, typically doesn't offer extensive public "promotions" in the traditional sense of discounts or coupons. Their value lies in the premium culinary experience and ambiance. However, there are specific offerings that could be considered special opportunities for guests:
Tanoshi Hour: While specifics can vary by Nobu location, Nobu restaurants often feature a "Tanoshi Hour" (Happy Hour) that typically offers "specially priced cocktails, wine, sake, and beer, along with curated bar bites including Black Cod Butter Lettuce, Yellowtail Jalapeño, Toro Tartare with Caviar, and sushi." For the San Diego location, this has been advertised as Monday through Sunday from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM. This is a fantastic way for Californians to experience Nobu's signature flavors and cocktails at a slightly more accessible price point.
Omakase Experience: While a premium offering, the omakase provides a unique and comprehensive culinary journey that is a special experience in itself. It's a curated multi-course menu that allows the chef to showcase a diverse range of signature hot and cold dishes, offering an exceptional value in terms of the breadth and quality of the tasting experience.
Hotel Del Coronado Packages: As part of the Hotel del Coronado, Nobu may occasionally be included in special hotel packages or promotions, especially for guests staying at the resort. These could include dining credits or exclusive access, making it worthwhile for those planning a staycation or visit to the island.
Seasonal or Special Event Menus: Nobu locations, including Coronado, often feature seasonal menus or special tasting menus for holidays or unique culinary events. These limited-time offerings present a chance to experience new creations or celebrate with exclusive dishes.
For the most accurate and up-to-date information on any current Tanoshi Hour offerings or special events, guests are encouraged to check the official Nobu Del Coronado website or contact the restaurant directly.

Nobu Del Coronado Reviews
We had an amazing evening at the new Nobu at Hotel Del Coronado. The hostesses seated us right away at a beautiful ocean-view table, and the manager, Michael, personally welcomed us—which was a great touch. We asked for an omakase experience and were treated to a diverse lineup of hot and cold signature dishes. Everything was delicious, and the service was flawless—our drinks were always full, and the pacing was perfect. The new space is sexy, serene, and a fantastic addition to Coronado. Can’t wait to come back.
May 13, 2025 · Shannon CanuI had high hopes for this place, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. From the start, there were small but noticeable service issues—there weren’t enough menus for our party of three, water glasses went unfilled for too long, and we had to ask for drink refills. The ambiance also felt off. Rather than the elevated, refined vibe you’d expect from a Nobu-style restaurant, the patio gave off more of a casual beach pool bar atmosphere. On a positive note, the presentation of the food was beautiful. However, the flavors were just average—nothing memorable or worth the steep prices.Overall, I wouldn’t recommend dining here. There are plenty of better options in San Diego that offer more enjoyed experience and better value.
May 30, 2025 · Mick CashAnother fantastic location added to the ever-growing Nobu Empire! A bit on the smaller side compared to other Nobu Restaurants but the spot is amazing, with indoor as well as ourdoir seating. Staff members are knowledgeable, friendly and very hospitable. Food is delicious as always! Get there early for prime bar seats and great people watching 😊
May 09, 2025 · Coryne S SuzukiMy girlfriend and I had the best experience imaginable dining at Nobu at the Del Coronado. The food, ambience, and service were all exquisite. Our server Xitalic was friendly, accommodating, and gave us great suggestions to try on the menu. Everything we tried was delicious. Our favorites were the Nobu Toro, hamachi jalapeño, and the crispy rice tuna. Xitalic recommended the Nobu toro special and it was the right choice! Our 5 year old loved the teriyaki chicken while alternating burning calories running in the grassy area in front. You literally cannot beat this place and we are very much looking forward to coming back.
May 24, 2025 · Chris PlamanExcellent experience all around. Our server Ian gave a detailed guide through the menu and the best selection. He recommended the Chilean sea bass and the black cod miso which were amazing. Excellent experience and would come back.
