This address places it strategically in western Long Island, making it an accessible dining option for residents of New Hyde Park, surrounding Nassau County communities, and even those just over the Queens border. Jericho Turnpike is a major thoroughfare, ensuring ease of navigation whether you're arriving by car or using ride-sharing services.
The restaurant's location in a bustling area means it's part of a vibrant commercial stretch, often with various businesses nearby. While direct parking details aren't explicitly detailed, being on a main road like Jericho Turnpike typically implies readily available parking options, whether in a dedicated lot or accessible street parking. For those relying on public transportation, various bus routes that traverse Jericho Turnpike would provide access to the area, ensuring that Nova Asian Bistro is a convenient stop for a diverse range of local users.
It's always a good idea to factor in peak times, especially for a popular "all-you-can-eat" spot, but its main road location generally contributes to its overall accessibility for locals seeking a straightforward dining destination.
### Services Offered
Nova Asian Bistro provides a range of services tailored to its "all-you-can-eat" model and the preferences of its local clientele:
All-You-Can-Eat Dine-In: This is the signature offering, allowing guests to order unlimited items from a vast menu within a two-hour time limit. This includes a wide selection of sushi, sashimi, appetizers, and cooked Asian dishes.
Takeout: For those who prefer to enjoy their Asian favorites at home, Nova Asian Bistro offers a comprehensive takeout service.
Delivery: The restaurant partners with popular delivery platforms like Grubhub and DoorDash, ensuring that their diverse menu can be enjoyed from the comfort of your own home.
Lunch Specials: While the primary focus is often the all-you-can-eat, they may also offer specific lunch menu items or special pricing for lunch, making it a viable option for a midday meal.
Expansive Menu: Beyond the all-you-can-eat, the menu features a la carte options, encompassing sushi appetizers, rolls, sashimi, kitchen appetizers (like edamame, shumai, gyoza, crispy calamari, and various tempura), and a wide array of Asian cuisine entrees (including Chinese and Thai dishes like Sesame Chicken, Thai Red Curry, Mongolian Beef, and various noodle and fried rice dishes).
Beverage Options: A selection of beverages is available, though specific bar services (like cocktails) might vary or be more limited compared to dedicated lounges.
Group Dining: Given the all-you-can-eat format and the casual ambiance, Nova Asian Bistro is well-suited for group outings, whether it's a post-game gathering or a family dinner.
### Features / Highlights
Nova Asian Bistro's appeal stems from several key features and highlights that cater directly to its target audience:
Extensive All-You-Can-Eat Menu: This is arguably the biggest draw. Unlike a traditional buffet with pre-made dishes, Nova Asian Bistro allows customers to order a vast array of items fresh from the kitchen within a two-hour window. This includes a wide selection of sushi rolls, sashimi, and hot appetizers, offering incredible variety and value for those with a hearty appetite.
Diverse Culinary Offerings: Beyond just sushi, Nova Asian Bistro truly embraces the "Asian Fusion" in its name. The menu spans Japanese (sushi, sashimi, tempura, teriyaki, ramen), Chinese (various stir-fries, crispy chicken dishes), and Thai (curries, pad Thai, sambal dishes) cuisines. This breadth ensures that every diner, regardless of their specific Asian food preference, will find something to enjoy.
Value for Money: The all-you-can-eat pricing, typically around $35-$37 per person (as noted in recent reviews), is considered an excellent deal for the sheer quantity and variety of fresh food available. This makes it a very appealing option for budget-conscious diners and groups.
Casual and Welcoming Atmosphere: The ambiance is generally described as inviting and suitable for casual dining. While it might be busy and lively, it's designed for comfortable group meals and less formal occasions, making it accessible and unintimidating for a wide range of customers.
Freshly Prepared Food (for AYCE): The "order-off-the-menu" approach for the all-you-can-eat means that dishes are prepared upon request, ensuring a fresher experience compared to typical buffet lines. This is particularly appreciated for items like sushi and sashimi.
Popular Signature Rolls: While individual preferences vary, some of their signature sushi rolls, like the "Signature Roll" and "Spicy Crab Roll," have received high marks from customers, indicating attention to creative and flavorful sushi options.
Accessibility: Located on Jericho Turnpike, it’s a relatively easy drive for many in the surrounding communities, appealing to the blue-collar Western Long Island demographic near the Queens border.
### Promotions or Special Offers
Nova Asian Bistro's primary and most compelling promotion is its continuous all-you-can-eat offering, which provides exceptional value for its price point. However, it's worth noting the specific pricing structure for this popular deal:
All-You-Can-Eat (AYCE) Everyday: This is the cornerstone of their promotional appeal. Guests can enjoy unlimited selections from a substantial menu of sushi, sashimi, appetizers, and cooked dishes.
Monday - Thursday: Approximately $35 per person
Friday - Sunday: Approximately $37 per person
This pricing is considered very reasonable, especially for sushi enthusiasts looking to indulge without breaking the bank.
Lunch Specials: While the all-you-can-eat option is always available, they may also have traditional lunch specials for a la carte orders, providing more focused and potentially quicker options for midday diners. These often include sushi lunches, bento boxes, and roll combos at competitive prices.
Important notes for the All-You-Can-Eat promotion often include:
Two-Hour Time Limit: Guests typically have a two-hour window to enjoy their meal.
No Food Waste Policy: To encourage sustainability and prevent excessive ordering, extra charges may apply for significant leftovers.
No Sharing: The AYCE option is generally per person and not to be shared to maintain fairness.
It's always recommended to confirm the latest pricing and policies directly with the restaurant, as they may be subject to change.

Nova Asian Bistro stands out as a highly suitable dining option for New Yorkers, particularly those in the Long Island area near the Queens border, due to its unique combination of value, variety, and accessibility. It's a place designed to cater to local preferences for casual, satisfying, and generous meals.
For locals, the all-you-can-eat model is a significant draw. It's perfect for those who want to indulge in a wide array of Asian dishes—from sushi and sashimi to hot Chinese and Thai entrees—without limits or the usual high cost associated with ordering many individual items. This makes it an excellent choice for a family dinner, a gathering with friends after a local sports game, or any occasion where a hearty and diverse meal is desired. The "order-from-menu" approach ensures a fresher experience than traditional buffets, a detail appreciated by diners.
The sheer breadth of the menu, spanning Japanese, Chinese, and Thai cuisines, means there's truly something for everyone. This versatility is ideal for groups where different members might have varying tastes, eliminating the need to compromise. Whether someone is craving classic sushi, a spicy curry, or flavorful fried rice, Nova Asian Bistro has it covered.
Its location on Jericho Turnpike in New Hyde Park makes it easily accessible for a large local demographic, and the casual, often lively, atmosphere ensures a relaxed and unpretentious dining environment. While some reviews note that it's more geared towards quantity and variety than a high-end date night, this is precisely what makes it a perfect fit for many local, everyday dining scenarios. It’s a dependable spot where you can count on getting a lot of "good grub" without a hefty price tag, making it a practical and enjoyable choice for the community.

Nova Asian Bistro Reviews
Asian all-you+can-eateria located in blue collar western Long Island near Queens border. While nothing was notable, same can be said that nothing was terrible. Sashimi and sushi were buffet quality passable, the cooked dishes were also acceptable. Good choice if you just want to eat some grub nearby, cone-heads style, massive quantities with a two hour window. Ideal for post-softball game, bowling night, or anywhere you take Barney Rubble; date night with your Boo, not so much.
Apr 07, 2025 · M LeeMy daughters and I came here on a Friday night. The place was packed. The table next to us had a screaming match with one of the servers. They were very loud and annoying. Some of the food we ordered never came and we were also rushed. Paid $125 for 3 people including tax. I don’t think it was worth it.
Feb 22, 2025 · Mau CalmEverything that my coworkers and I had was good but there 4 stars was the turn off of the fried rice. There were 2-3 different onions that took over the authenticity of that dish. I couldn't taste the rice, chicken, etc..just onion. Maybe that was a mistake but man if you look at the photos you can see the onion were plenty.
Oct 31, 2024 · Christopher O'ConnorWe came to Nova Bistro for dinner and was pleasantly surprised at how packed it was on Tuesday evening. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, and the staff was nice. But more importantly, the sushi were delicious! We had ordered the chirashi, salmon lovers, shrimp tempura rolls, eel avocado rolls, and seaweed salad... and they were all really good. Will definitely come back again.
Jun 22, 2024 · Anny Ko - RealtorOur normal sushi place does not deliver to my area. We decided to order from Nova. We have been there many times but stopped going after having to wait an extremely long time to get our food-- even when we went during off-peak hours and could visibly see it was not crowded. Also, the staff always forgot most of our order or got it wrong, often both (this is the only way these guys are overachievers). One day we decided to have the food delivered instead of dining in. Much to our shock, the food came like lightning. And it was DELICIOUS. The only issue was the cost, given we had found an all-you-can eat buffet that is so insanely good and so cheap, I still can't believe it's real. We just couldn't get there tonight and they don't deliver to our address-- so we thought we would try Nova again. It's been at least a year since we ordered. I am hating myself right now for this decision. Something changed. The food looked fresh but tasted disgusting. My 8 year old son was crying in disappointment. I ate it as a punishment for making this choice and it's only been an hour and I'm not feeling well. My stomach is in knots and I think I'm going to throw up. I swear they changed EVERY recipe. We got non-sushi items. Sesame chicken, beef fried rice, shrimp and brocolli, spring rolls, beef short rib. Just tasted rancid is all I can say; and the only thing we ended up eating tonight is the 140 dollar bill. I hate myself in this moment as much as I hate the food. If I never hear of this place for the rest and in my next seven lives (is reincarnationis real)-- it will be too soon. I would not eat this food again for free, not even if they paid me. I mean, maybe for a million dollars, but it would need to be tax free.
