Oishi Bay Reviews
The exact definition of a hole-in-the-wall sushi joint. The kind you show off to your friends when you want to make them think you know all the secret good spots. I most recently got the sushi dinner box, which is a shockingly large amount of high quality food for 25 bucks. The sushi was fresh and the fish was naturally flavorful, and GOODNESS did it look just as good as it tasted. My friend ordered a spicy salmon crunch roll among other things, and even after he finished everything, it had been so good he just had to order another one.I've been ordering from them for a long time now and the delivery guy is friendly and nice, and the food has always been fresh upon arrival. I just read a one star review below talking about problems with deliveries. I cannot overstress how much of an outlier that was. After ordering from them for years through uber eats, then Doordash, then eventually just by calling them directly, there was only once that I ever had an issue and that was on a day that was so busy that when I called them about the order I could barely hear anything because of how insanely packed it was that night. They quickly fulfilled my order after that. Every other time I've ordered delivery I have been caught off guard by how quickly my food arrived.Overall, I can't recommend this place enough. This city has an insane number of options when it comes to sushi, and I've tried many of them, yet here I am coming back to Oishi again and again and again. I will be doing so again shortly, probably even next week.
May 30, 2025 · Matthew PowerOrdered for delivery, they were 30 mins late, called them. They apologized and told me the delivery hadn’t even left the store yet and told me the delivery driver would call me as soon as he leave shortly. Waited 20 mins no call ever received, eventually got grub hub help involved and Oishi’s line suddenly became “busy” when they tried calling, I tried calling and same thing. BEWARE, this location DELIVERS ORDERS THEMSELVES which means you will either not get your order or they will come sometime next year . I’m sure their food is good in person but avoid ordering from them at all costs.
Apr 29, 2025 · Derek LuxGood choices of sushi and sashimi with fresh ingredients. The space was basic but clean and sensibly laid out. The tempura wasn't the best but wasn't terrible; however it's best to stick with the sushi. As of Nov 2019 they don't have a liquor license (although they did say they are in the process or arranging it).
Nov 17, 2019 · HowardHappily surprised by the taste and quality of this sushi for takeout. All rolls were great, the garlic broccoli was amazing (!!!) and the sashimi was good! Will definetly be a repeat customer moving forward!
Oct 06, 2024 · Rita ROrdered delivery on Valentine's Day. The presentation was beautiful and it was delivered quickly! We were surprised when the delivery driver arrived. They included gold flakes and extra toppings on the sushi sashimi combination. It was BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!
